Okay, I'm certain someone asks this once a month or some shit, but I just saw your username on my dash... is it a Firefly reference?? And if it is, have you heard the news?!

I don't think I've ever been asked that! Yes it is, I am an ancient browncoat, and I am carefully lowkey excited about the news!

Careful because getting more of a thing runs the risk of it not hitting a tone i have become attached to, so it can be a double edged sword. Especially if I've put loads of creative energy into the original. But is possible Firefly is so far so in fannish efforts terms that i won't have that issue, who knows. I'm eager to find out, especially after hearing Whedon isn't involved

The Buffy revival being cancelled right before the potential Firefly animated series was announced is the weirdest string of events I’ve witnessed as of late.

I really hope the Firefly actors know what they are doing right now. Cos if it turns out to be nothing— or worse, whatever they are doing turns out to be bad? Yeah… good luck to them if they are fucking with that fan base.

Personally, I don’t want it back. I think bringing it back would be a huge mistake. Catching lightning in a bottle twice? Good luck to them. But I will probably not be there to see it.
