I'm running my first 5k October 5th in Prospect Park at night. I'm so excited! It's called the Firefly run and it looks so amazing. I still haven't signed up yet cause I'm looking to make a team so it's slightly cheaper. And we need a team name. I just really wanna run this 5k. And I'm still looking for people.

It's basically one of those night runs where you go all neon. It looks like so much fun, and it's like 4 blocks away!

The Rave Run is an exciting night time 5K run where you get decked out in your glow-in-the-dark gear and dash through the night.

So this is what I'm doing tomorrow night in case anyone was curious (which I know you were.) 

This is the start of my once a month 5k. Currently deciding between two in May (heck I may do both), I have a mud run in June (The Dirty Dash), need one for July, and August is The Firefly Run. 

Just thinking about these runs gets me so pumped. Let's do this!

P.S. On a more serious note, I'm still reeling about the events of this past week in Boston. While I can't run a marathon yet or set any records, I feel I am part of a community that is stronger than belief, that is accepting of everyone, no matter who you are or how well you do. What happened in Boston was tragic, but you will not see the running community or Boston "run" in fear; just like that great city in MA, they will dig in and take off full sprint towards the finish line. Nothing will stop the runner. Nothing will stop Boston. Just keep running.

Last night, we ran in the Firefly Run 5K.  We both finished in 28:12 (new PR for Elizabeth!).

We've also now finished week 6 of our marathon training.  So far, so good.
