"A communion of sorts"

Based off of my musings in this post (warning: cannibalism mentioned)

While I was drawing this I also started to wonder about the diet of the Yiga Clan. In-game the only food we see them eat/talk about is bananas, but of course that can't be *all* they eat . . .

I talked about the conflict between hylians and the ganon cult in the linked post, but I feel like there's also some potential for conflict/disagreement over diets between the ganon cult and the yiga clan.

In the cult, eating pork and boar meat is seen as a sort of communion with ganon. By consuming the flesh of his earthly form (so to speak) they become closer to him and (allegedly) gain access to his powers.

I feel like it could be interesting if the yiga clan also considered eating pork to be akin to eating the flesh of their god. But what if, instead of it being a "good" thing, it was forbidden? In Age of Calamity we see how Astor and the Yiga Clan have very different relationships with Ganon, despite both serving him-

Astor is comfortable communing directly with Ganon--to the point where he thinks he can *control* Him. In contrast, the yiga are much more wary of Ganon, and see him almost like a force of nature in terms of both power and inevitability. I feel like this exchange with Sooga really highlights that well:

Like yeah, it can definitely be read as "Astor's a weirdo who's already going mad with power and doesn't understand the forces he's working with" (which is a totally valid read. Bro's definitely got a few screws loose). But I feel like it can also highlight the stark contrast in upbringing (which is heightened even more by Astor's role as an elite seer - the "Augur" - within the ganon cult).

Going back to diet- I had momentarily played with the idea of the Yiga being vegetarian, based on the "just bananas" thing, but I think that would be very unsustainable in the harsh climate of Karusa Valley and the surrounding highlands and desert. It already takes an IMMENSE amount of efforts to import bananas from the Faron region, and that's with a carefully selected yiga-friendly farms (and their alliance with Lurelin pre-calamity, which I might talk about later). So being purely vegetarian wouldn't make much sense from a geographic location.

But pork is off the menu. Because even though these guys respect ganon - and in fact, because of it - they don't want to get on his bad bad side

i honestly have nothing other than they stood next to each other in revelator, uhmm its giving artist x writer x theater kid, their personalities could lead to an interesting dynamic and like. felix needs more ppl in his close circle.

tbh adrien agreste is just so transfem arospec to me, thats a girl, thats a girl who cant understand romance well so she mimics the way guys flirt in anime

shes also best friends with juleka because they got a transfem solidarity going on, they're already friends prior to the realization but they become closer when juleka helps adrien in figuring herself out outside the agreste brand and who she really is as a person and as a girl

oh and maybe adrien dyes the tips of her hair green as a nod to juleka :)?

shouto uses blue flames like dabi cuz when he was young he saw touya make blue flames once and wanted to be like him but never got to show it to him until shouto ran away from home during middle school because he believed touya was alive and wanted to find him, kinda went crazy on the streets searching for touya until dabi and himiko found him and they became a villain trio together, with shouto realizing shes trans afterwards

shes been experimenting on how to express herself and that led to her current annoying feral cat little sister personality, she also found (stole) the dress and accidentally burned half of it, but she liked it that way and kept it as her villain attire alongside a flame resistant shirt and shorts

todokami meet during the training camp and after their fight, they've both just kinda had each other in their minds 24/7 ever since, love at first sight but they dont know it yet and assume its hatred due to their opposing sides
