Just finished my pole dancing class at @swdythebronx and I'm still getting used to really seeing my body. The flaws, the #thickthighs #loosestomach the #bigtitties and #bigolebooty...shit the big everything makes me want to pick myself apart. It makes me want to hide. Today I wore #bootyshorts because that is what is appropriate for class and all i could think was damn heaux your thighs rub together! But I pushed through that and I fought back tears because I couldn't really do what the other girls could do so easily...I remembered that my body has done amazing shit, that it is still an athletic body and it is abeautifil body. I turned off those voices in my head that looked at this body and blamed it for all the things that didn't go right. I looked beautiful and my ass was sitting proper in them shorts. @gangstarrgirl was so encouraging and told me to get out my head and just let go. When I did I got my first #firemanspin down. So imma keep practicing and keep working out! Heading over to Crunch to get in 45 minutes of weight lifting! #mybodyisnotanapology I am beautiful and proud of myself. (at Sweet Water Dance and Yoga)
