Firemite has been on his own for a while. He would find people, and they’d like him, but whether at first or after time passed, they’d be too uncomfortable with his sculk and how much they liked him stopped mattering. People would outright leave, or start finding reasons to back out of conversations, would stop looking at him, anything and everything. Which, considering how sculk works and what Full, Real Wardens are, makes sense, he supposes, but it doesn’t help it hurt any less whenever it happens. He tries to offset it by being as cheerful and friendly as he can possibly be, to try to put off any unease people might have.
Half of his face looks like sculk to the point where his entire right eye is a teal-flecked abyss? No problem, he just covers it with his hair! He shaves his horns down as far as he can before it gets too grating and starts hurting, and has worked for years to suppress any instinctual sculk-y noises that he can. So nobody has to worry about being around him! It’s hardly like he’s any sort of Warden at all! It’s just a little sculk on him, don’t mind the awkwardly still-obvious horns and the noises that still slip out sometimes. He hardly even gets mad at anybody, he’s so kind and friendly and happy, he wouldn’t hurt a fly! He’s not going to infect anybody, don’t worry!
Folks tolerate him enough to interact with him, but nobody ever stays.
Razormane’s the first that’s stuck with him this long. Firemite expects it’s because of Razor’s more closed-off nature- he tends to be pretty good about minding his own business. Which is good, because he’s yet to voice any questions about Fire’s origins and Fire doesn’t intend on bringing it up unless he absolutely has to.
They found each other by way of happening to book it to the same cave during a sudden downpour. Razor can’t be out in the rain for long- it irritates his skin too much- and Fire just didn’t want to deal with being wet at all, really. The two ended up caving together for a bit, and at the end of it, Razor invited Fire to join the group he was with.
Always the forced optimist, Fire accepted, and the next couple months were a rarity, spent in company of folks that really brought out Fire’s happiness- jokes and laughter were common amongst everyone there, even pulling the quiet Razor into it.
And then one day, they’d apparently had their fill. Some of them wanted to go wander, some of them wanted to settle down in different places, some wanted a change of scenery. Nothing happened, everybody ended up deciding to leave on their own and nobody left on bad terms. But Fire couldn’t help but feel like he’d been found out. Like he’d overstayed his welcome, and nobody wanted to stay around a Warden for fear of infection.
Razor was the only one of the group of ten that apparently decided he had nowhere better to be, and stuck with Fire because “two would survive better than one, right?”
They were on their own for a couple weeks, before running into Aquafinity when he was apparently out scouting, and he invited them to join up. Razor didn’t seem to have any issues with it, and Fire, despite his personal misgivings, made himself the friendly optimist once again and cheerfully accepted.
Once the group of four settles down, he does what he can to contribute. Mining is his specialty- navigating through darkness is second-nature to him, and he’s able to “see” further ahead by the sounds of himself and of mobs than others can actually see, and he quickly establishes himself as the underground resource grinder. Besides, being underground means he’s hiding himself from the others, and he doesn’t have to suppress anything when he’s by himself. He just… has to make sure he’s back in his restrained mindset whenever he returns to the surface.If he can help it, though, he stays away from the deep dark. He can hear so much more down there, and he can feel so much there, to the point that it’s overwhelming. He’s been stranded once before, fighting against all of his instincts that wanted him to stay and guard and hunt and kill, that it took him literal hours to mentally untangle himself from it and get out. He shudders to think what would happen if he got stuck in one again, and what would happen if any of the other three came looking for him and found him stuck like that, let alone if he lost the fight and attacked. There’d be no denying what he is then, how un-human he really is, how much of a monster he knows he can really be. They’d look at him and speak about him with the same fear he’s seen and heard in so many others, and he’ll be alone again.
Story idea
obv his story's gonna be confronting that warden part of himself and deciding whether that's who he wants to be or not! if i go with the idea i had for tyr's story, which i think i will, then having her get infected bc she tried going into the deep dark and things went horribly wrong, he's gonna have to face everything sculk about himself through it.
Of course the obvious question is can he do anything about it? i think a very fun answer would be yes, but only by infecting her with his own sculk and overpowering the other stuff, which. would still leave her infected. but it's ok haha he can keep it at bay so she doesn't get taken over by it because its his sculk and hes its warden and he can just. keep her from becoming a full on warden isn't that fun and not at all messed up haha. other possibilities include yes he can, because all sculk is the same but in order to do so he has to embrace the warden and sculk aspects of himself, even if it scares the others off. which now that i type that out i think i do like that better.
and!!! at the end of it? hey, his friends are still his friends! they still think he's cool! he didn't scare anybody off this time! it's another self-love story, he has to learn to accept all of himself as himself! think kinda like celeste :V
he also has to, which would be a more over-time breaking habits kinda thing, once all the big hubbub is over with, learn to not suppress emotions anymore and be ok with not presenting himself as such a happy-go-lucky guy all the time. it's ok to be sad sometimes. or mad. it doesn't define him.
which all of his newfound self-assuredness would come into play later on in the more razor-centric story too i think :3c
His hels
He has a hels counterpart, and it’s an old one. His hels sticks to himself, but very much doesn’t want to. He wants friends, he wants companions, but feels like he scares them all away. He’s much more obviously Warden in appearance than Fire himself is, having barely any unmarked skin showing. What little there is disappears entirely whenever he gets worked up in any fashion. Both of his hels’ eyes are sculked, and he’s extremely territorial around his neighborhood. He will shriek and he will roar and he will make you think he’s going to devour your soul right out of your body and then he’s going to go home and cry about how scary he made himself seem because he’s lost another chance at a friend.
He’s a very lonely sort.
And he’s exactly the picture that Firemite has built up in his head of how people must see him and what he doesn’t want to be seen as- how much more monster than person he’s sure folks think he is, and all of the negative feelings that come from it. He wants to be happy and friendly and go-lucky and welcoming, and his hels is none of it. His hels is everything he’s afraid to be.
This hels does eventually get taken by the universe, once Firemite starts accepting himself as himself, fully and truly and wholly.

12. What’s something that makes them laugh every single time? Be specific! “Dear Cod.” It was something from a previous group of folks he and Razor had been hanging around for a bit- one of them fished up a rare enchant after hours of trying to get literally anything useful and made the comment “Dear God I thought I’d never get anything.” and every single other person heard him say ‘dear cod’. By then it was late at night n they were all tired and so it was the absolute funniest thing in the world made funnier by how vehemently he tried to stand firm on the fact that he’d said ‘dear God’ and not ‘dear cod’. He makes the reference sometimes still and it gets a chuckle from Razor, and whenever Razor pulls it out (though it can also be partially attributed to just how serious Razor is so he doesn’t joke much anyway) Fire absolutely loves it and laughs so hard. 10/10 comedy every time.
The first time he heard Tyr mutter it to herself when she was trying to figure out how to get one of her newer cats to cooperate out in the main room he lost it. Could not stop laughing for the next five minutes at least.
46. Are they a listener or a talker? If they’re a listener, what makes them talk? If they’re a talker, what makes them listen? I was going to say listener, but the more I thought about it the more I thought that… he might actually be a talker. If he’s fun bouncy sanguine he’s prolly a talker. So what would make him listen, then… I suppose Razor can make him listen, but that’s on virtue of being viewed as more of the decision-maker of the group, n he knows well enough that Razor usually has good ideas. Other than that, though… I suppose quiet might would make him listen- recognizing that he’s talking over someone and it’s Not Good and needs to hush. Hm. I personally think I’m more of a listener so I’m not really sure like. what would make a talker listen slkdhgkl I think that might be as good of an answer as I can give? I dunno. He listens to Razor and he listens to quiet.
52. Do they act on their immediate emotions, or do they wait for the facts before acting? Depends! If it’s more happy/positive, he’s keen to jump to action immediately, but if he’s feeling more negative- sad/angry, etc, he’ll think more on what to do or at least take a second/minute to compose himself. It’s usually bc he’s gonna try to ‘fix things’ and bring the mood back up. It… doesn’t always work though, and he kinda flounders when it doesn’t. If it doesn't, it can end up with him spending some time alone mining to clear his head a bit, and also to let whatever's going on calm down.
57. What’s a simple daily activity / motion that they mess up often? I’m gonna be honest, this is one that’s stumped me like. the most, probably. Is that something that a lot of ppl have, like something that they need to do constantly that they usually mess up? Bc ngl like…. I don’t really see him having much of anything that’s like. a simple daily thing that he messes up often. I think I’ll leave it at an “I don’t think he has one” but if I think of something later I’ll come back and edit this to include it :V
58. How many hobbies have they attempted to have over their lifetime? Is there a common theme? I think he’s the kind of person to have tried many, many different things! So there’s no common theme other than ‘is this new? Sure, I’ll try!’ He likes to go out and learn and discover and make new friends and find new things that he likes, so he’s very keen on trying stuff out. If he doesn’t like it then he at least knows he doesn’t, and if he does, then it’s a win!

Aquafinity doesn't have a particularly favorite food, but he does have a least favorite- golden apples. He had them too much of them in the mansion as a forced excuse for healing.
Razormane, I don't think, has a favorite actually. He'll eat whatever.

I!!! ok ok these were who i was actually originally going to make helsmets for but then i remembered aron was originally a minecraft oc and she Immediately Took The Spotlight bUT I!!!! made some helsmets of the minecraft crew (even tho their helsmets would certainly not be a crew) to fill @silverskye13's sandbox with!!!!! i will ramble!! under cut!!
SO FIREMITE
He was like the first one (maybe second??) that i came up with an idea for, and it was actually the redesigns that did it! i mentioned that he kept his more sculk-y eye and half of his face hidden bc it could freak ppl out and then also i realized that i'd kinda visualized him as a happy ray of sunshine all the time and it perfectly opened the door to! suppression. like if he's perfect beam of sunshine all the time then he's gotta be suppressing/hiding A Lot Of StuffTM, both physically (hiding as much of his warden influence as possible) and emotionally (only showing others his happiness), so i made his helsmet based off that! :V it's also kinda what firemite is afraid to be seen as i think, bc if he saw his helsmet all he would see is what about himself would scare ppl.
Tyratone was my second!! I'm pretty sure! she might've been first. but Tyr looks around at her friend group and sees that everyone else contributes- fire brings up resources from underground, aqua makes connections to other folks to keep them on good terms, and razor keeps the group protected from physical threats. She just.. has her little indoor farm. Collects crops every so often. Mostly keeps her cats alive. Messes around with firemite n tags along with razor to scout out sometmes. Like what does she even do. (She provides for the group but thinks it a task that any of them could do and that she's not really needed, even tho they do all rely on her to keep them going. Any of them *could* step into that role alongside what they do, it's simple enough, but they all appreciate having her around bc she's fun and enjoys simple things, and keeps the group together.) She thinks it only a matter of time before she's kicked out bc she's not really doing much, and so her helsmet is based around proving her worth through what she can do for other people!
Aqua took me a bit to fully realize; i had a vague idea for a while but it was toeing the line of similarity to tyr's and i didn't want repeats, so i sat and thought for a bit. in his original bio, i'd put that he kinda missed only having two ppl in the group, and that he thinks he's the leader but isn't. ok, so throwing these two things together, i can kinda figure that maybe he missed only having two people bc it meant that his opinions carried more weight, because it was only ever up against one other, instead of three others. he gets ideas of what he thinks is best and what he thinks they should do at any given time and the others tend to go with razor's ideas more than his, and it gets to him. he feels like they don't really listen to him at all, which they do and give consideration to his input, but he gets jealous and upset that razor's ideas are gone with more. so his hels is someone that constantly strives to be heard and to be listened to and to be viewed as important! i'm not actually sure if how i ended up implementing that works or not, but that's what i was able to come up with :V (the cane is just to look neat, and also it's netherite so heavy bonking stick as well should he need it sdklfj)
and then razor! razor. good night he gave me trouble. i wanted to draw him so badly and could not for the life of me figure out what his hels would be of. like i knew he'd be a fighter, but like. why would he exist in the first place?? i kinda thought about how i'd designed him and what personality traits i'd given him- he wears a lot of layers, most of his face is covered, long sleeves, it's a kinda closed-off wardrobe. and he's phlegmatic, so he goes with the flow a lot. maybe his thing is that he's doing what he can to keep the group safe, sure, but he also wants to try to stay a little closed-off, so that if he fails one day to keep them safe, it won't hurt as much and would be easier to move on. tossing around the idea that maybe that had happened with folks he was previously with- before he and fire met aqua and tyr, and maybe even before he met fire. not sure yet, (still not entirely certain on his hels concept at all tbh) but that's the fun of being in the middle of developing characters and their stories!! trying stuff out and seeing if it sticks!!
ANYWAY if u read all of that bLESS YOU ilysm these were really fun to figure out and make!!! also cannot believe i hecking. i did all these today, this afternoon/evening dslkfjsdkl i'm going to bed Extremely LateTM but it is worth it!!! i did it!!!! i'm so happy i love them sm qvq ty silver for writing such a cool hecking story that provides so so much inspiration and such a fun world to play around in, this was a fantastic exercise in character development for these four, who just existed as bullet points prior :V

So it started bc I was thinkin about razor and his hels
Mostly bc I was thinkin abt throwing some multiverse shenanigans onto razor which is its own whole thing!!! Ages ago I came up with a couple other stories involving him that were entirely separate from each other but thought now that it'd be fun to let razor have some sort of connection to those stories, haven't figured out yet if it's like. If he's able to connect with those other selves of his or if it's like he can just observe or if he can travel to/from, idk yet but I’m messin around w it
So I was also wondering if that might would extend to his hels too :V haven't figured that out yet either but also like thinking abt his hels n their connection bc I'm thinking they don't rly see each other

And his hels doesn't care to let him know he exists and given that he doesn't want to make friends or be attached to literally anyone is perfectly fine with his easy existence in the coliseum until he stops existing bc what's the point when all he and anyone else are gonna be in the end is names on a wall at best. He does well enough in the coliseum to keep on there, but he doesn't put in a particular amount of effort y’know. ppl like that he can throw sparks sometimes- bc like his counterpart he’s part blaze- n that’s easy enough
Changing course to aqua!!! And his hels- mostly his hels actually bc I haven't really. thought of much for player aqua yet 😅😅 or how they. view / interact with each other.
But I had a stray thought cleaning a couple days ago that if his hels is working his way up in influence, that probably also comes with money, and the coliseum is like. A Big Thing n u must be big and important if you're sponsoring someone there, right? He wants all the status he can get so he should sponsor someone!!
This bit is guesswork tho bc I. Don't remember much about like. How the sponsors work. But I was thinking like maybe all the best Bigger Fighters were taken/spoken for or smth? So he's stuck having to pick an underdog, or maybe is just wise enough to know he doesn’t rly have the status to support someone big, so he’s gotta gamble a bit, which. Now that I type that out I do like that one better actually I’m gonna go with that
My multiple stories of Minecraft characters has them all find each other in some way, so I like the thought of he ends up picking razor!
Well shoot, now razor had someone he has to like. Actually try for. Bc now he's sponsored, now he's representing the coliseum, now he has to put in the effort, and oh god what if he does poorly now that he’s sponsored would he get kicked out he has to try better now and suddenly his easy existence is not easy for him dsfghj he’s got a touch of anxiety, don’t mind him

I was thinking abt how they would view each other n realized like. They'd be jealous of each other. Ty would see her hels being ten different ways of productive n useful and thinks man she's like Got Her Spot In The World, nobody thinks she's useless n she always pulls her weight, she’s so good at everything?????
Meanwhile her hels would see her n be like man she's got a close circle of friends and she doesn't have to even try for it????? Her hels doesn't have time for friends bc she's too busy trying to run around and do things for people to try to find some sort of purpose for herself

I can kinda see her ending up connected to the other two by way of just that she runs errands. She’s bound to do something for someone and likely multiples someones at the coliseum at various points right :V maybe atl

So his hels is essentially the qualities of himself that he's afraid of- his hels is a more 'monstrous' version of him that he's terrified other ppl might see him as if he's not constantly trying to cover up his warden self
My thoughts of how they might would see each other was mirrors bc he's refusing to look at himself for who he really is but also that's tango n tanguish n I Don't Wanna Recycle
Then I thought well. His hels' existence is literally his nightmare. What if they visit through dreams? :V
N it's kinda vague if they're like Actually With Each Other or not but they've never wanted to do anything to each other or themselves to find out
So they both think they're just having like. Really Vivid Dreams
It’s not every time they sleep tho like only sometimes when fire falls asleep does he suddenly find himself faced with his other self and vice versa
Fire's hels, I think, is the easiest one for me to accept that he would be eventually poofed to nothing, if only because their story would be kinda similar to the game Celeste, where it's a story of acceptance of yourself and loving who you are (fire’s hels is defo not as antagonistic as badeline tho sldkfjsd)
And also bc it's still up in the air RNS-wise of what really happens to a hels once they are gone, so it's kinda being viewed for me through a lens of the two becoming whole again instead of like one character fading to nothing bc the other fixed an issue y’know
The others are kinda harder for me to be like 'welp they're hels they're gonna be gone eventually' gksjfkk
Especially Nora now that I've gone and written about her qvq whICH is. I haven’t done much more thinking about her yet buT I have realized that she and ty might connect bc if ty’s an errand runner then nora may hire her at some point :V

anyways have a firemite, canton, tami, and also something i’m... not really sure what to do with?? i traced over a picture of a family member on my laptop which. was very difficult to do, but i was trying to figure out what to do for christmas gift tags and thought that might be something neat. ended up doing something much more simplistic, but now i’m just sitting here with. this. and it’s traced, so i can’t really be like ‘oh hey look what i did! :)’ so i’m just. it’s just here i guess. anyways.
