Mesa is also enjoying Firepit Friday.
Just a chilly (nuclear) winter night in the Mojave Desert with the bestest canine companion.
I set up the firepit, but then went back in the house to dink around some on the computer until it got closer to sunset.
Meanwhile, Mesa squeezed through the gate and has been impatiently waiting for me to get out here and start up the fire.
I came out and he gave me THIS look when I discovered him waiting out here XD

It's a little early (both in the week and the season) for Firepit Friday. And it's just a single stick of almond (I haven't had time to pick up firewood yet) and a few wood scraps for tinder. But I needed a nice relaxing fire after all the stress of the last month. So, here we are.
Plus, I hung my Ranger duster coat up downwind to get some smoky campfire smell on it.
It's that time again!
Awww yeah. Who picked up firewood today in the new truck? I did!
Would have liked to get more, but this was all they had on hand today at the Bodfish yard. I'll go back up in a few weeks to grab some more.
Firepit Friday!
With the absolute last piece of almond wood. Fire is mostly wood shop scrap aside from it.
I NEED to go up and pick up more. Maybe Sunday.
It's finally that time! Wind has kept me from having Firepit Friday for a couple weeks, but it is calm tonight so we're having Firepit Friday on a Sunday.
And then tomorrow I think it's time to go pick up a fresh load of firewood. I am nearly out.
