WHEN SKNDDY MET J-FRESH

Okay, so recently we approached J-Fresh, resident DJ at Fire Radio 107.6 FM to see if he wanted to collaborate & join our ever growing family of artists, skaters & musicians. We were stoked when he came back showing interest & we met up one afternoon to discuss ideas. We agreed to create a Mixtape together, the Sknddy X J-Fresh Tape (Dropping soon). We thought we'd show our appreciation by telling you guys all about J-Fresh & his vast influence on the UK Hip Hop & Garage Scenes. (Read Below)

Garage quickly became the most successful & prominent underground scene in UK music history, with the likes of Roll Deep, Dizzee Rascal & DJ EZ pioneering into the limelight in the 1990's. J-Fresh grew up in London & gained recognition during this time, he was a regular on the circuit, being booked up for all the biggest UK Garage events like TWICE AS NICE, GARAGE NATION, LA COSTA NOSTRA & GARAGE FEVER. (90's names for sure) In this period Fresh honed in his skills on both turntables & CD Decks, he moved down South to Bournemouth/Portsmouth area and bought with him an extensive knowledge & collection of music to hit the music scene hard & continue making a name for himself along the South Coast. As previously mentioned he is resident at Fire Radio FM & DAB, where he hosts two shows weekly. From this, his collection of contacts grew tenfold, he now works & has collaborated with some of the biggest names in Hip Hop & Underground music. We strongly suggest you cop his mixtape's where you will hear the likes of 50 Cent & more shouting the man Fresh out. Fresh is the most popular resident DJ around the Bournemouth club scene & you can catch him at many of city's main spots. This dude is truly a game changer & has worked with the likes of MAC (So Solid Crew), Killa P & Rikodan (Roll Deep), Twin MC's & TCO.
