Rogue had always hated been trapped anywhere, even a place like Haven, where most of her friends (all of them whose location she knew of) were. So going back and agreeing to shut herself into a closed space had been difficult, especially when she knew it meant she wasn’t doing what she had been doing for a number of years--fighting, protecting people.
So when Ororo started asking for volunteers to clean out an old mansion, Rogue jumped at the opportunity. She was happy to be paired up with Jubilee, an old teammate, and was ready for whatever happened to come their way. Even, as it turned out, spider-mutant zombies. Grimacing, she glanced over at her partner, raising an eyebrow. “Betcha didn’t expect ta see that.” A pause, then she shook her head. “All right, let’s head upstairs.” // @fireworks-vs-zombies
