PS holds firmer with small weekly gains
PS edged higher this week, extending a firm tone that has built gradually since early January. Indian PS prices were assessed at Rs 140/kg on Feb 6, up Rs 2/kg from Rs 138/kg a week earlier, and Rs 4/kg above the nearest fortnight marker at Rs 136/kg, keeping the short-run direction positive without sharp jumps.
On a month view, the latest level is Rs 8/kg above the early-January print near Rs 132/kg. The three-month comparison shows PS holding above the early-November reference near Rs 130/kg, leaving the latest assessment higher by about Rs 10/kg. Over the past 90 days, the recent high was around Rs 140/kg and the low was near Rs 129/kg, and moves widened slightly compared with the quieter late-2025 period. PS prices in India are now at the recent high, which keeps the upper reference point active for negotiations and tender benchmarks.
On a six-month comparison, the series is Rs 5/kg above the early-August reference near Rs 135/kg, while the year-on-year line shows the latest assessment below the early-February 2025 print near Rs 144/kg. Indian PS prices therefore remain framed by Rs 129/kg and Rs 140/kg as clear reference markers in the domestic market this week, PS prices, PS market, small weekly gains, firmer trade, polymer trends.
