Nyvor has a very wide mouth (he can't unhinge his jaw, but he can open his mouth quite wide), and lots of teeth. He's careful about keeping that hidden tho! As he thinks it'll unnerve others.
Hoop swimming - inspired by a recent enrichment study where sharks and rays were given colorful pool toys to play with, hoop swimming is a common form of agility training used by zoras in Volica.
One, two, or even three zora(s) will throw out colorful hoops (of various sizes) while swimming, and another zora must swim through those hoops as quickly as possible without touching its edges.
Well well well, it seems someone has finally arrived.
Fun Fact: Nyvor's healing magic works not only on his fellow zora, ritos, hylians, and gerudos (he's not sure if it works on Gorons, he's never encountered one before!) but on plants and animals too.
He can access the general state of a plant's health, and if he imbues it with his magic it'll flourish a bit faster!
How is this possible? Widened eyes reflect Nyvor’s astonishment, utterly bewildered by this new development. He watches the way Castov’s pupils flex, his once clouded blue gaze replaced by vibrant gold irises with purple accents. The other can indeed see him.
Nyvor’s astonishment is quickly tempered by his concern, and his words are soft as he asks, “How are you fairing, my love?” Castov’s injury was an old one. Even if exciting, regaining sight after surviving without it for so long couldn’t be easy. Not to mention the sudden light sensitivity!
Ah, but he was also so damningly curious! What could have occurred to heal a wound like that? Forbidden magic? Some of that strange Sheikah technology? Fairies? His tail coils a bit tighter around the larger zora’s arm as he murmurs, “seems you did get up to some mischief while we were apart…”
Castov's ever present smile grows a little wider with Nyvor's words, "You make it sound like I'm always on some perilous journey."
Drifting closer, Nyvor begins to examine Castov’s scales for bruises and scratches, intent on healing anything he sees, no matter how small. His hands follow the path of his eyes
"Well," claws graze along Castov’s hip. "I would not be surprised."
He touches Castov’s waist next, fingers lingering near his gills as he inspects them for signs of strain, "mischief follows you around like a lost puppy. You get pulled into fighting zoras on behalf of your danger-prone brother,” hands smooth over Castov’s chest, “lost children are dropped off at your feet,” another touch to strong arms, “Hylia, you were venturing into enemy territory to rescue kidnapped princesses before we even met!”
Relieved to find nothing amiss, Nyvor moves to cup Castov’s cheek, tutting affectionately at him, “you and Thresh are similar in that regard. Yet here you are, not a single scratch to be found.” In fact, the others' overall health is better compared to when they last met…
Kind, nurturing, altruistic, and soft spoken, Nyvor (he/him) is a well-rounded medic who specializes in healing magic and physical therapy. He is incredibly pacifistic, and has taken an oath to do no harm upon others. Recognized by many as a trustworthy individual, patients tend to confide in him during their hardships.

My Art: First Aid Krait
General (Includes art by others!): Nyvor
✚ Krait Facts ✚
Can’t swim down waterfalls, literally cannot figure that shit out. So he gets down the hard way (read: free falling).
Removed his venom glands as part of his oath, but nicked his vocal cords during the process. His voice is sometimes easily strained as a result.
Heart brimming with delight, Nyvor moves to greet the other. There's something different about the larger zora, his usual quaint demeanour intensified by something Nyvor has yet to notice.
(Castov belongs to @gargoylesister)
Anddddd an unobstructed view of Castov cause I worked extra hard on the posing -
Volca's renowned medic, who specializes in healing, physical therapy, and antidotes! He was recruited by Volca at the start of the famine, and his entire slither relocated to the Domain with him.
Below are some additional facts + lore about my sea krait zoras:
About Nyvor:
Nyvor is kind nurturing, altruistic, and soft spoken. Though docile by nature, he is extremely protective of his patients and won't hesitate to give others the tongue lashing of a century should they do anything to hinder his patients recovery. Recognized by many as a trustworthy individual, patients tend to confide in him during their hardships.
He is my biggest zora, standing at 11 ft. As a result of his muscular build he is frequently mistaken for a warrior. However he is incredibly pacifistic, so much so he (at times) gets upset over having to eat fish (since they used to be alive). If zoras could be vegan Nyvor absolutely would, but he's come to accept that's just not possible.
Much like Thresh he is very sociable, but far far calmer in terms of energy. When he removed his venom glands (as part of an oath to do no harm onto others & to amplify his healing abilities) he nicked his vocal cords. As a result of this his voice is easily strained, and he has to take time between bouts of talking to rest his voice. When this occurs he'll simply listen and be present, or if the other is fluent in sign language, he'll sign.
He is deeply in love with Thresh (who eventually becomes his mate). Nyvor sees Thresh as aphrodite incarnate, the most beautiful zora he has ever laid eyes upon. Sea Kraits love long tails, markings (like spots or stripes), and colorful dispositions, all of which Thresh has.
Facts about my Sea Krait Zoras:
In real life, Sea Kraits are so docile they rarely bite, even when threatened! Which is a good thing considering their venom is extremely potent (banded sea kraits have venom estimated to be 10 times more lethal then a rattlesnake).
With this in mind I've made my Sea Krait zoras pacifistic. They will always hide or flee to avoid fighting, and they view biting as something one should do ONLY in a life or death situation.
They are also extremely expressive via their tails, which are ridiculously long (often 125% to 150% of their body length). For instance, if a sea krait wraps the end of their tail around another zoras arm or tail, its like a form of hand holding! If they twist a good portion of their tail with anothers tail, it means "hey, I'm infatuated with you!"
Their tails are both strong and flexible, so they can use it to carry items, and even other zoras. They also do not allow their tails to touch the ground, as it is seen as a form of disrespect to oneself. So if their tails tire they'll twist them around their waists, or their neck/ shoulders (like a scarf) to keep it off the ground. If a sea krait zora is seen dragging their tail across the ground it usually means they are very sick.
