June 1, 1975

On his 28th birthday, guitarist Ronnie Wood played his first gig with the Rolling Stones opening their Tour of the Americas in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was later made a full member of the band. Ronnie had already guested with the Stones earlier and played on the It’s Only Rock ’n Roll album, but June 1, 1975 marked his official debut as their touring guitarist after Mick Taylor’s departure.
