Short stories

Well I'll take the opportunity to share little bits of my past, The time will be vague for most of these short stories because I don't keep a written log or anything. Also they'll jump around a lot from either when i was a child, to my teens then back to when i was a child, etc.....

Although my memory is better than most people, anyone would forget the exact time and exact words after a long period of time. I won't hide my friends names though I will not reveal their last name. 

So to start it off, This short story takes place during my freshman year in high school.  Late September I injured my left knee(at the time I was told it was a sprain but most of us know what really happened by now) So the following day I had injured my knee, I had a really long knee brace(going from my upper thigh to the middle/lower shin) and a pair of Crutches. If you really know me then you know I didn't like to ask people for help although I would help out people all the time. To me I just didn't want to bother others with my problems. So then back to the story.  Walking in crutches while focusing all the pressure on one leg really works it out. By lunch time my right leg could not handle anymore walking. I had trouble getting lunch myself(I don't remember if I had help from my friend during this day but eventually I did receive help) and then made my way to my usual spot to eat. I eat with a few of my football buddies as they let me sit. After talking and such lunch ended and we make our way to class. My class is pretty much the opposite direction than most of my friends so we part from our table. My right leg didn't have enough rest so I had trouble getting to my class which was only down the hall and at that time I had only wore my backpack with one strap so it would keep falling off. Halfway to class my friend Jacqueline(we call her Jackie for short) calls out to me and I turn around and I also see Quang(they were dating at the time and he's also a friend of mine from elementary. We are also in football together). They probably saw me struggling to class as my backpack falls off right when I turned around and asked if I needed help carrying my backpack. I refused but to be honest it would have made it so much easier if they have done so. Once they catch up to me, I turn around and again my backpack falls off and hangs between my backhand and the crutch. As I let go of my crutch to put my backpack back on, Quang grabs it and says, "Here I got it" then proceeds to carry it for me. I give out a big smile and say thanks and I guess that made them happy because they had big smiles as well. From there I was able to walk in the crutches a lot easier and we part from the door to my class as their class is in the building beside mine.

And this was probably the first time I had received help from my friends because of my stubbornness not to ask for help.
