I honestly don't know how many people will see this, but I'm just going to put it out here anyway. I want to become an aspiring artist, and I'm trying my best to learn how to make art whether 2D or 3D. I've been doing so (mostly 2D) for about 3 years now and I've made progress, although it's not steady. All of the work I'm stuck with outside of art stresses me out so much that I just don't have time for it.

A few weeks ago, I made my very first 3D render of a jelly dessert from a YouTube tutorial (I got stumped on the donut and decided to make something else). It took me about 6 hours, including the time I waited for it to finish rendering, which was done at 11 PM at night. I showed someone I know the image because I was very proud of it and how long it took me. I was told "AI could make something better" and "it's just a jelly, what's so good about it?" I don't know if they were joking or not, but it really hurt at the time and now. When I expressed that, I was told that I "get hung up on the little things." Maybe it's because the "women get too emotional" I hear from them sometimes, but I just didn't want to argue. I got no support whatsoever because no one else I know does art either, and I'm not the kind of person to socialize.

This is the very first time I'm posting anything anywhere, and it's a shot in the dark, but I'm just looking for a little feedback without this being seen as begging. I'm just a college student doing something as a hobby, but now I'm just not sure.

Meet Myata Baya - My NotSoBerry matriarch 🍃🧪

Yesterday I opened my NSB save file and noticed it was Spooky-Day the next day, so I went into CAS to create a costume for her.

Since she is still in Uni and loves to party in NotSo-decent places, I thought she would like a more daring outfit for the spooky party... It ended up way less revealing than I thought 🤫

But my ideas came out blank, so I asked 4 different Halloween costume spinning wheels. And what they gave me was - Animal, Spider, Doll and Barbie... So I went Barbie pink spider 💕🕷️🕸️🤭

Of course I had to take a nice picture of that and took several screenshots...

But since that didn't seem to be enough for my brain and it totally wasn't past Midnight already, I was like "Let's learn how to use Blender!"

And when would be a better time to start posting on a blog you had ready for years, then when Spooky-Day in-game and Simblreen happen at the same time 👻

So here it is, my first ever post, with my first ever render, hope someone likes it.

THIS WAS MY FIRST EVER RENDER IN BLENDER! hopefully it doesn't look completely awful to people who've been using blender for forever 😭 it took me 2-ish hours and 4 mental breakdowns but i finally did it and im glad i did!! i can't wait to use blender more in the future!

Deep in the forest I stroll... to hear the wisdom of my soul.

I finally took the jump and made my first render! Technically this is the second one, but who’s counting. It’s far from perfect but I love the lantern light and the general atmosphere.

This was only possible because of @cyansimblr‘s tutorial. It is fantastic and very clear, thank you so much for creating it! 💕
