im doing acid for the first time in two days! i'm extremely excited, although i do have some questions. i already read through your lsd tag and how to avoid a bad trip. so, me and my boyfriend and going to trip together, i'm doing 1 tab because it's my first time and he's doing 2, he's done acid several times beforehand. since we're under 18 and our parents don't know about this, i want to know 1 how long trips last and 2 if it would be ok walking around for the first time

LSD lasts about 10-12 hours, with maybe a little more residual stimulation after that. But I’d say after eight or nine hours you should be capable of at least texting your mom. Walking around and exploring on acid is the best! But maybe start off the trip in a private place, and then go outside once you feel comfortable with the trip. Good vibes, enjoy the trip <3

I plan on trying LSD for my first time at some point within the next month. I'm excited to try it, but I'm also terrified My thoughts will put me into a bad trip. I'm naturally somewhat anxious and I tent to overanalyze things to the point of worrying. I've read your first time tripping tag as well as your post about what to do to avoid a bad trip, yet I'm still scared that it will happen to me. Help?

Try to calm yourself as much as possible before dropping. Whether that’s through meditation, petting a small animal, listening to your favorite song, or whatever you have to do to put you in your happy place. 

Remember, it’s totally natural to be nervous! But you are going to have a great time.

what would be better for a first time psychedelic, LSD or psilocybin? i smoke weed 1-2 times a day,for the past few months now if that matters? because of that, could i take a higher dose?

They’re both good choices, but I personally have found that LSD causes less anxiety and is generally a more positive trip. So that is why I tend to suggest LSD over shrooms. Also, regardless of how much weed you smoke, your first trip will probably knock you on your ass. So no need to take a high dose… there’s always time for that in the future once you’ve been acquainted with the world of psychedelia.

Is an eighth of shrooms good to split for two first timers doing shrooms?

It’s not a bad place to start, but unless the shrooms are incredibly potent you won’t trip very hard.

Hey! Love your blog! I plan on buying 1 tab of nBOME this weekend. It's my first time with a psychedelic so I'm really nervous. My plan was to do it during the day time & walk around outside & listen to music & eat some snacks. I'm kinda nervous though! A little scared too. Its cause I've heard rumors & myths about how people see demons & that makes me not want to do it. :/ I know it sounds stupid, but is it true? I'm always in a happy mood so my trip should be great but idk. :/

Having an actual hallucination (aka seeing a demon jump out from behind a wall or whatever) is actually pretty unlikely on psychedelics, especially if you’re only taking one tab. 

Walking around and listening to music sounds like a great plan, but it’s wise to start somewhere a little more private. The come-up is usually the roughest part, especially with your first trip. So if you can start in your room or somewhere similar, that would be ideal.

i've decided to take lsd, considering i've always wanted to do it. do you think it's better if i take it at a party or somewhere on a mountain?

If those are the only two choices, then on a mountain. But neither of them are perfect environments for your first trip for a couple of reasons. A party is really one of the worst environments to trip in (unless you’re really experienced), because it’s chaotic and there’s lots of strangers and people not on your level in general. It can easily become overwhelming. Tripping is nature is an amazing thing, but are you going to be hiking on this mountain? Are you going with other people, and if so are they tripping with you? If you’re not completely confident in your abilities to navigate on the trails, your trip could become confusing and scary.

The best setting for one’s first trip is in a private setting, so you have more control over things. And then as you become more comfortable with tripping, you can push yourself and take it to new places.
