I visited the First Americans Museum today in Oklahoma City and learned something very valuable. The best name to refer to the original natives of the Americans isn’t Indian, because Columbus didn’t discover India. Or Native Americans because anyone born here can be considered a native of the Americans, but instead “First Americans, “ for obvious reasons. I really like this name. They were treated so poorly at first. I am glad we are learning how to honor these wonderful and beautiful souls.
