Recently while fighting the Noosa Council to save our business on the river that we have put our life savings into and worked 7 days a week for the last 2 years to build, we've had a huge amount of exposure with some our our Facebook posts receiving 12,000 to 14,000 views making us aware of the power of social media. ✔Nicky Mih is the managing director of Free To Shine and is doing amazing work in Cambodia protecting children from sex trafficking. There are 4.5 million people enslaved in the sex industry, 945,000 of whome are children and 98% of victims are women and girls. The root causes of child sex trafficking are complex, key factors include both poverty and gender inequality. In order to address these issues the international labour organisation states that getting girl's into schools and keeping them there is vital in reducing their vulnerability to trafficking. For $1.50 you can provide a day of safety and education to a child through this charity. At Pure Coffee Noosa we'll be donating our tips to this very worthy cause. Tipping is not a town in China so please help us draw attention to this issue and help to make real change in these girls lives who need our help and deserve to have the freedom and opportunities that many of us in Australia take for granted.
