So when the coolest owner of the coolest #recordstore in the #galaxy Michelle at @savvy_vinyl_records #melbournefl Savvyvinylrecords.com posted a video showing that she had picked this up from last weekend’s #orlando record show, I had to jump on it. Of course #tool is the perfect band to cover this song, and of course they did a great job. They even gave it an interesting @blacksabbath twist at the end. And that got me thinking: “No Quarter” probably is Led Zeppelin’s response to Black Sabbath. That trio of British rock bands, @jethrotull_, #blacksabbath, and #ledzeppelin were all picking at each other in the press at the time. Ian Anderson would accuse Robert Plant of writing stupid lyrics, and Robert Plant would accuse Black Sabbath of always going for the dark and heavy tone - which is an understandable accusation though not completely true.
