One headcanon I've got, which is actually going to make its way (in part) into the Top Secret Experimental Fic I'm playing about with writing at the moment, is that they are fiercely protective of their private lives when they move to Texas. Like, anyone who even steps onto their property has to sign the most ironclad NDA which means they cannot post any pictures of the property, they cannot describe anything about the property, some of them aren't even allowed to say they've been to the property. That is their home, their space, and they are fully in control of what is released about it.
Everyone gets it - they have lost enough of their lives, their privacy, their intimate spaces. So their Texan home becomes their sanctuary and word gets out that this is how they are living their lives: private figures at home, public figures outside of that property boundary. Rule One: nothing is posted without clear and express permission from BOTH of them and it will be marked as such on the post. And that permission is so rarely given they just don't ask now. Any photos taken at events, gatherings, birthdays, holidays? They know that they're always going to be private.
Everyone thinks that June is the one to be afraid of if you break that one rule. When Pez uploads a picture of his OOTD hanging on the back of a door, someone thinks he's staying at the farmhouse and he's breaking Rule One because there's no tag and he has to quickly start a livestream where he can show people that he's not at the house, he's actually somewhere else entirely.
What he doesn't tell people is that he did that in a panic because Catherine called him and threatened to have him locked in the Tower for the rest of his natural life.
So yeah. My headcanon is that the boys, and their families, become ultra protective of their privacy.
As for the second question, this made me think about if I have a favourite colour! I tend to favour blues so I guess I would describe them looking as the sun feels on an autumn day: the warmth being tempered with cooler air and winds. It's not intense, it's not overpowering. The blues I favour are the kinds that are the in-between. Cosy like the drawing in of the nights and the fireplaces. Comforting like the warm mugs in hands. The range from the warmer days when autumn is still bright and clinging to summer, through to the moments it is slipping into winter.
So yeah. I'd describe blue as autumn sun, and the range as the season itself.

Alex is currently pulling 18 hour study sessions with exams around the corner and cursing the day he ever decided to go to law school. Henry is trying his best to monitor his boyfriend's coffee intake and making sure he gets at least some sleep because he really would prefer to have a boyfriend by the end of the exam season. Sometimes he wakes up in the middle of the night to hear Alex mumbling the limbs of a breach of contract and wonders if he needs to have his boyfriend be exorcised
Hey, so my headcanon for Firstprince is that they basically dress completely normal (like tshirt, jeans, whatever) and probably wear a mask or sunglasses or whatever and just..... mingle with the commoners lol. Just go to a museum or walk somewhere hand in hand or go see a movie or whatever. I think they would get away with it quite often, and they become real good at it. They deserve casual dates <3 and I think they like going to the planetarium too!! My dream date!!
headcanon accepted, I love that! alex spent a good part of his life doing casual things like this, and henry has never done any of this before. I love the idea of alex taking henry around to all the places he used to hang out, esp when they are in texas. he takes Henry to the movie theatre where he had his first date and recalls in great detail how he made out with some girl in the corner seats (until henry drags him there and shows him a good time, paparazzi be damned), or henry pops by the nyu library to drop off some food and coffee for alex, and then sits there for a while as alex monologues whatever he was studying for a bit. when they are in london, henry takes alex to all his favourite landmarks. they LOVE the masks mostly because it lets them be anonymous and most people dont really realise its them.

i think he certainly tries! i dont think henry is the big gestures person in their relationship (that’s alex) but he tries sometimes. he tries to learn mexican recipes but royally (ha!) messes it up. he tries planning a romantic picnic in the park but it rains. he tries buying extravagant gifts except for some reason i get the feeling that he’s not a great material gift giver. key word is ‘material’, because what he does do is things like leaving long handwritten notes inside alex’s bag or textbooks or sends texts and emails randomly so when alex is pulling long study seshs in the library he has motivation. or he starts massaging his shoulders without prompting when alex had been sitting at a table for like 4 consecutive hours. he stops by the library to drop off coffee and food reguarly because alex forgets to eat when he’s studying. henry doesnt think that’s anything major, just being a good boyfriend bcos alex works so hard and law school fuckin sucks (amen to that bro) but for alex no one has even made him feel more spoiled or loved

I think they spend the days leading up to christmas at the brownstone sitting in front of the fireplace cuddled together and eating cookies they baked (Alex baked, Henry stood there prettily like the Disney prince he is). they bake a lot and dropped it off at various shelters. Christmas Eve they fly down to dc to spend christmas at the White House (Henry lucked out this year not having to fly to London and Alex is very happy about that!).
as for presents maybe henry wrote something nice and romantic for alex (Alex cried). not sure what Alex could give him tho.... if you have any ideas holler at me!
