My experience in Abiristeily
I study in gymnasium (I don’t know if it’s called that) 3rd and last year. Started when I was 16-year-old with vocational/tradeschool (going to be a baker). Anyway a person who studies the last year in gymnasium is called abi and risteily means cruise. The cruise me and my class went from Helsinki to Tallinn and back but without landing in Estonia 15th day of February and came back to Finland on 16th day. The cruise ship is full of about 18-20-year-old people. Sounds fun, right?
I was really scared before because I don’t have friends and I thought I’m going to be alone.
I went to Helsinki with train and rest way I walked. Waiting to get to the ship was awful. So many people and had to wait about 2 hours to get in. They had to check every baggage althought they didn’t even check properly just opened a little and asked if I had any water bottles.
I finally got in and found my room where the roommate was already with someone already. She promised I can be with her and her friends the night. Someone brought vodka (of course againts the cruise rules) and even I got to taste little. During dinner I drank white wine for the first time ever. It was really bad at first and got me a little drunk already. We went to this bar/club were we drank alcohol and during this Finnish rapper’s show I lost everyone and was alone. So after that I went to my room and still didn’t know where everyone including my roommate. Her friends came and I went with them but someone was too drunk I we got her in her room to sleep and went back to club were we each of us took a salmiakki shot and something else. Then the other girl went to sleep and I was left with other. We went to other night club where everyone from my class were dancing and went there drinking another drink. We danced too. (Me not so much because I don’t know how to). We all were at least a little drunk and went sleep at 6 am and got 3 hours sleep. The next day there was other Finnish artist and it was so much fun. I’m really glad and grateful that I wasn’t left alone during the time.
I’m glad I didn’t drink anything during returning day since my parents came to get me home when the cruise ship. I mean, we ate sushi and it was hard since my hands shook a bit. And funniest thing was when my mom said:” You must have drank a lot of pepsi there.” Yeah, sure pepsi. I don’t think she could ever imagine me drinking alcohol. I still had maybe the time in my life and anxiety even reduced so much than it usually is. :D
Thanks if you read it all and sorry.
