Thanksgiving at our new place was a huge success! #firsttimeonmyown!! (at Lake Village, Arkansas)
3 months in.
I miss California food, my family, friends, and my pets.
Am I homesick? yes a little, but not to the point where I want to be back at home. I learned a few things after residing here.
1. My parents. I definitely feel like I started to appreciate them more.
2.California is probably the best place to live in the US. LMAO. Food, nightlife, etc can't be compared.
3.I don't care if you want to turn into a new leaf, moving somewhere alone with no friends is INTENSE lol. Since I'm not alone things are bearable and I don't feel lonely, but I do understand why people feel depressed.
4. Once you fulfill what your heart desires go back to your roots and settle there. "There's no place like home."
5. Friends. Without their support and love you would feel so lonely. They definitely make up a fraction of your happiness, so keep them close.
Life here has been okay. Things definitely worked out for the better. If there was any choice that I've made that was right it would be this one. I feel like I've grown as a person. My greatest achievement here is definitely schooling. My parents think I've made a disastrous mistake lol but I know that they will be proud one day. Heck if I didn't make any improvement on anything I would feel like I've failed and moving here was the dumbest idea lol. Thank goodness that is not the case.
Everyday is the same. I wake up go to school then come home and cook dinner. I am basically a part-time student and part-time housewife lol. Can't believe it has come to this day already. Growing old is definitely not as fun as being a kid who's so carefree.
As of now, I am satisfied where I am. I'm not ready to go home and I don't think I will be for another year or so. Then again who knows life happens all the time.
The End.
