Cairis glared at the reddish-orange alien that had hold of her.

"Tho - it ith him."

The words came out squishy and muffled - but she knew what she meant.

She knew what she'd seen.

The big guy in this orange-y alien's presence might have worn a mask...

...but she knew Sendak when she saw him.
