Interesting story about this little fish here...When I was getting my hook out of its mouth, I noticed there was something else stuck down its throat: another hook. Apparently someone else had snagged it in the past and their line must've broken off, leaving the hook behind. Then it hit me: this joker fell for the same trick twice! Here it was, with two different fish hooks stuck in its mouth. The Bible says it's a person's own lust that snares them. *See James 1:14. How many times have we allowed our unbridled lusts, passions and undisciplined lifestyles to trap us into situations or circumstances that we could not get free from? And just like this fish - while still hooked by our past actions weve gone ahead and gotten ourselves into the same mess all over again? How often have you gone from one bad relationship into another one? Or from one self-inflicted hardship straight into another one? This fish couldn't get the hooks out of its own mouth. Not even another fish could help it. Only someone with the ability to extract the hooks with skill could help it. And that is how God helps us when we allow Him too. You can't get yourself out of the mess you've created with your life. Only God can set you free. But first you have to let Him capture you, hold you in His hands and work on getting those hooks out of your life. Only then can you be truly free. Hopefully this little guy will stay free this time, and not fall for the same old trick again. And hopefully you will too. He definitely taught me a lesson today. I hope you learned something from it too. God bless. "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." John 8:36 #BibleBaitBass #bass #bassfishing #basspro #fishing #angler #fishinglessons
