It was Wendy’s idea, she proposed the idea of forming a duo band at the beginning to Sinclair. I imagine a scene of them eating at a typical diner restaurant, there she takes advantage for paying Sinclair’s dinner to convince him to teach her how to play the electric guitar or the electric bass and thus a band. (Sinclair said no at first just to piss her off, but after a verbal argument and giving him the free creative decision to do the art theme for the band, he accepts)
To be honest, Wendy’s desire to form the band was kinda naive at first, in the sense that she wanted to do it just because she idolizes many rock singers/bands and she wanted to have the crazy life of an aesthetic “rockerita”. But little by little she genuinely fell in love with rock music even more with founding and playing in the band. And also because the rock culture in general allowed her to be herself unapologetically with her crazy quirks and not be ashamed of her appearance.
Wendy was exposed to the world of rock by one of her mother’s friend daughter, Raquel Otto. Raquel was a total life change for Wendy, for how she perceived the world and in every way, even Raquel’s appearance was a shocker the first time they met.
Sadly, just when Wendy was getting attached with Raquel , her mother stop inviting Raquel’s mom to the house therefore Wendy lost all contact with her. This happened because Yanelis perceived Raquel as a bad influence for her daughter. (One day, Raquel came to the house with more piercings in the face, Yanelis immediately cuts connections with Raquel’s mom without saying anything because she thought Wendy was going to get influenced with Raquel’s “inappropriate” appearance).
