i'm reading (stalking) your thread with fisiis and i misread your line as "sam flicks the television off, then sets his bear down onto the night stand." i blinked at it a couple of times thinking, when did sam get a bear? it was at that point i realized how tired i really am.

i don't even know what to say to this i'm laughing so hard

        It's been the same dream.         Or so he thinks that it's one.

        After each death, after each fall,         there is a light --- something bright         before he wakes up in his bedroom.

        & he could swear that there is a hand         reaching out to him, but he doesn't want         to blame it on superstitious thoughts.

        Even if his own resurrection could be         considered superstitious as well.

        He just knows one thing.         Someone is watching over him.

        Why?         Who knows.

        But, there's a part of him that is glad that there is.
