Halfway through Fittrat...
.... and I’m pleasantly surprised. Not what I expected from the trailer.
But AltBalaji shows always have a way of throwing away allllll the buildup and goodwill in the last few eps, so I’ll reserve final opinions for when I’m fully done.
Thoughts on the 3 main characters in Fittrat + Bunty?
Liked Tarini a lot more than I expected. I thought it would be just another stereotypical depiction of a “gold digger” but she was way more than that. She was smart and persistent and loyal and a very compelling character worth rooting for.
Amy was meh. She existed to further the plot, that’s pretty much it.
Idk what I feel about Veer. Like, it was confusing how the show treated him. He was a spoilt, shadyass, rapey creep; but also capable of deeper feelings? Idk man, ultimately, I’m glad they resolved the character the way they did. Excellent choice in casting Aditya Seal though, coz he plays both menacing and soft-eyed puppy within the same person quite convincingly.
Bunty was the best character. Pure, wholesome character. I like that actor a lot, he’s very likable in everything I’ve seen him in (Jab Harry Met Sejal, a few scenes of Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji, etc.) I liked his bond with Tarini a lot.

Coz we’re conditioned to find that shit romantic, even when it really wasn’t. In most scenes, Tarini was uncomfortable and resisting him, but we’re conditioned by desi media that “ladki ki naa mein hi haan hai.” There *was* solid chemistry though, in the scene(s) where she did consent.
