Mountain Day Take 2
Last week we had Mountain Day! I think all colleges should have Mountain Day- it always seems to come at the perfect time! After getting my Mountain Day shirt (have you seen Kmac’s tweet yet?), an apple cider donut, and a glass of apple cider, I embarked on a Mountain Day adventure with my house!

Every year Talbot goes to Sheldon Field to hang out, which is about a 20 minute walk away. We then have a picnic, strum our ukuleles, throw discs around, climb trees, and run through the nearby cornfield.
Not pictured: the three people who helped me get up. Turns out, growing up in NYC has its disadvantages when it comes to tree climbing...
If you can’t hear the bells that ring to mark the start of Mountain Day, you’ll see an email (that’s how I found out this year). I was elated to see that in addition to our regular Mountain Day email, I had received one from the Smith Club of NYC! Apparently, every Mountain Day, the Smith Club of New York gathers for a post-work picnic in Bryant Park. It was a really sweet reminder that even when I leave Smith, Smith will always be with me :)
Now…. if only we had off to celebrate the first snowfall….
Cornfield!
