Happy 2013 to you all.
I am sad to report my veteran, George Mills, who inspired the entire trip back to Pearl has died 12/26. We are having a beautiful send-off Fri., Jan. 11th at 2 p.m. in Barrancas Cemetery in Shelter A complete with Patriot Guard Riders and the Perdido Brass and military honors. It will be short and lovely. You are welcome to come pay homage to our Greatest generation.
I am singing at Five Sisters tomorrow night, Thursday, Jan. 10th at 7-10 with Clarence Bell and Steve Ferry along with Barry Erb sitting in on sax.
Please join us.
Also be back there at Five Sisters Blues Café the 31st of Jan. with Dave Shelander Band 7 to 10.
I am finishing my last hours and Capstone to complete my Masters even though I did ‘walk’ with the class 12/15. Happily, George was able to be with us that day.
He changed the trajectory of my life and I am so blessed to have had him for a while. We have Ace, his aging poodle and are all adjusting.
I care and thank all of you. These last few months have presented me with tremendous challenges, grief beyond my wildest imagination and many lessons to learn. I know HE has me exactly where HE wants me but it is and has been hard and I appreciate you all. No one goes unscathed!
Many thanks,
May God Bless,
Holly Shelton
