4, 5, 6, and 9. Lol, is that too many??
4. Themes I love writing about: If lovers are destined to be together, no matter the circumstances they will be.
5. What inspires me to write? Well, writing fanfiction, I want to make my OTP/fave characters act in ways I would like to see, but not necessarily get in canon. Now…KISS and ravish each other! LOL
6. Thoughts on critique. Honest critique is important. There is always room for improvement. Cruel senseless critique is not warranted. I like to hear if I am being too repetitive or my characters are acting too out of character.
9. Passage from a WIP. Oh you….you. Ok..
From Five Veils/Caryl AU/Ch. 20)
Carol sipped her coffee. Just one more day. One more. Shecould deal with this. Her stomach was inknots. Thought she had not spoken toDaryl she had communicated with him via a few text messages. They were light and sweet and held an air ofalmost cordiality about them. She couldtell there was an undercurrent of…of what she wasn’t sure. Something. Want. Aneed to say more. It was like one simpleslip up and it would release a torrent of words. One text from him simply said, “Still waiting?”
Oh yes. She was here still waiting. Still here trying to figure out how she wouldexplain Daryl and what he was to her. Thatwas just it. What was he? She had hired him on a silly lark but now itshifted into this weird…situation that she had trouble explaining.
And this is for @lovesdaryl since she is so desperate for a snippet of Thrall. In this sample…”Daryl” has shifted and is running to intercept Carol…
Of all the forms he had shifted in his long life, humanswere the oddest. It wasn’t that he hated shifting into a human form, it wasthat it left him feeling so vulnerable. With their odd hairless and scalelesshide it was so…cold. As such, he wasalways sure to shift with the illusion he was dressed in armor. It took a bit of extra strength to achievethis, but it was better than being naked and soft. The cool air on that naked skin was alwayssuch a shock. He had learned the hardway that humans took offense to their naked bodies. He could see why being sosoft and vulnerable. Pitiful beasts.
Carefully he descended out of view, shifting smooth into the form of ayoung man, hitting the ground running faster than any human could ever dream. Slipping into the forest he put himselfdirectly in what he hoped would be their path. He crouched in wait for them to appear. The woods fell silent at his intrusion.
Man may have chosen to forget about dragons but the beasts did not.
He settled among the fragrant ferns to wait. There was always an adjustment period aftershifting. The smallness, the standing upright. Although he retained much of his draconic senses, they were dulled. Still his hearing and eyesight remained muchkeener than those of a human. His strength and stamina as well. It was easy to conceal as a cat or awolf. Harder to play dumb as ahuman. Then there was speaking. Getting used to lips and tongue and how theyworked to form words and sounds was always such a bother. It took him a bit to get used to the wholeprocess and found it best to remain silent as much as possible.
