"If ya keep staring like that I am going to have to start charging ya a fee."
"I hope you are lost, and not looking for something..."
For a Nurse you'd think everyday for Alice was busy, but she did have time to herself. And despite tension between her and her siblings and father, she still spent a good amount of time around her father's tobacco shop. Well, technically, it was Isaiah's shop now. Though Alica would sometimes argue that is was all of theirs. Sitting close to the back of the shop, Alice heard the small bells attached to the closed door near the front, and quickly turned her head.
She watched as the person walked in only being able to see the movement of their limbs and lower half, clearing her throat to let it be known the shop wasn't empty--Isaiah had just chosen to step out and run an errand. "The owner stepped out but--" she paused, setting her pen down and craning her neck to look around a box that was blocking her view, "anything I can help you with?"
"What the fuck is this shit?
"If yer going to stand in my doorway watchin' me, the least ya can do is lace me up."
Well, there's a face that only a mother could love.
Fuckin' Hell, never thought i'd seen you again.
Usually, in the afternoon, when mister Fournier had lunch, Sylvi was alone in the shop for some time. She was a seamstress, yes, but also an occasional sales clerk, and to be honest, she was terribly afraid of the times she have to do that. And only because she knew the next customer could easily be a mob leader instead of another tired mother of ten children. Sylvi was in the back room when hearing the bell on the door making a sound and informing someone had walked in: she took the deepest breath possible before slowly making her way to the front. She managed to put a smile on her face. "Good afternoon. Is there anything special you are looking to?" For, she remembered just as she closed her mouth. It's looking for. Sjutton. Now she wasn't only looking stupid because of the wary look in her eyes but also because of the stupidest mistake she had just made.
