Five Tribes! I’d heard a lot about this one, especially after buying Yamatai and coming across the obvious comparisons. Of the two, Five Tribes currently wins. I really like the mechanic of picking up and dropping off each ‘tribe’ until you are left with one colour with which to perform an action, or just store for victory points. Like Yamatai, I don’t think the theme means a thing here, but the game is lovely to look at and very fun, so theme schmeme!
