I got an ask a few days ago asking for help on LO oc design. I can't do that atm for my own reasons, but what i CAN do is yap about the game's character design sensibilities. (also i don't know what the chara design problem is so uh. sorry if im totally wrong abt what may or may not be helpful.)
Quick note that I'm a nerd who's been doing character design for my own amusement for most of my life so what I may think is obvious may not be so for someone else. So I might be skipping over some things?

This doodle is a bit old. But since I don’t believe I ever posted it and the special post I’m working on isn’t done, and this AU has been on my brain, I figured I’d finally post it !
In Nexo Rising, Clay was thrown into Ninjago’s desert during The Merge, and eventually began to reside in Ninjago City. He’s done plenty of hero work over the years, but that doesn’t mean they’ve been kind to him. Now a bit more jaded and less ready to jump into action, Sora is the first person in a long time to recognize him.
Sora, being from the REALM of Knighton, has heard plenty of tales about the Nexo Knights. Imperium portrays them as heroes who keep the horrors of the outside world away from their gates, despite the fact they didn’t really do much in that corner of the realm. Sora has since done her own research on the Nexo Knights and is still a huge fan. Kind of like Aaron with the ninja !!
