now with a star shaped hairpin (since four pointed stars are kinda my trademark at this point), darker skin that’s more accurate to me (i have olive skin so it’s very light dependent aha) and shorts…because one day i’ll shave my legs and love wearing them ✨

gender rambles but i feel so at home with this design like…being cute in an androgynous way. i thought for a little while i might be transfem but certain parts of womanhood don’t jive with me (and certain parts of manhood don’t either) so like…this is me!! look!! i have earrings and shoulder length hair!! i’m closer to the middle in all the ways that work for me!! makes me so happy

y'know it just occurred to me why i love this character so much like--

it's pretty clearly established, especially in episodes like the chapter 4 finale and sparkle school, that misty represents growth. she's had the strongest growth, sure, but at the same time she grows differently.

we all grow differently and at different paces. the mane 5 have been learning to live with each other this whole time, but when it became the mane 6...misty hardly knew herself.

i dunno i just think this idea of "growing differently" yet deserving love all the same has been really touching to me personally, as an autistic artist that often feels just a few steps behind everyone else.

or at least that's my excuse for daring to be a g5 fan like EESH it's not that bad people
