🛒 What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.
For themes it's overcoming emotional trauma and finding happiness. I know that sometimes it doesn't feel like it, but I do care about them getting to that sweet sweet finish line in one (more or less) piece XD
For scenes and imagery, I like small places. Rooms and kitchens and churches, etc etc. Big ballrooms full of people dancing scare me o.o too much stuff going on and I can't adequately picture it coming to life so I always have to rely more on paintings and pictures and movies than on my own imagination, which sometimes feels a little rubbery for me, like using someone else's hands to pick something up.
For feels, I'm gonna have to say horny, everyone is horny all the time in my fics 💀
🎯 Have any of your readers accurately guessed major plot points? Care to share which?
hahahaha yes! Only yesterday Overpoint65 guessed in their review for Universal river that England didn't seem to be quite at the same emotional wavelength as Port and I was THRILLED!! Rains (@oumaheroes) guesses major plot points of the fic all the time as well, like when she talked about Port and Spain maybe reconciling in the future of the fic, or when she pointed out the duality between how we are perceived by different people and how that affects the characters. I'm always so excited when people highlight these findings for me because I get to have a little mad scientist moment rubbing my hands together going like yes hahaha my evil plan is finally coming together!!
🤲 Would you please share a snippet of a wip?
But as he sat in the back row of the chapel along with the Queen’s other guests watching the musicians perform at the front, he couldn’t help but noticing one of them had a particularly familiar figure, his natural hair combed neatly back and tied firmly at the back of his neck, and his clear green eyes adorned with a beauty mark when he glanced over his shoulder to catch his eye, smirking like the idiot that he was.
