It is the first moment in your day when the gears start turning. Everyone knows the smell, the taste, the sound of a spoon clanking against porcelain, your fingers wrapping through the handle and the warmth against your palm as it clings around the mug. You look around, and you see the world in stillness. There is a floating moment between sips as you wake up, rejuvenate, or continue late into the night.
