i (re)started my gaybian search, and it's brought up some questions abt what I should/shouldnt include in the post
similar terms (lesgay and velaurian, for example) are coined at separate times and I could understand people id-ing with one and not the other-- but at the same time some of the flags are made with multiple names since they have similar definitions (ex: velaurian/gaybian flag)
also some flags specify slightly different definitions, especially on whether bi is part of the identity
also also some flags are named certain things (ex: violet gaybian), which i figured i would just specify as “violet gaybian flag” instead of “alt flag” but i’m also not sure
soooo now I want feedback to make sure I do things right
how should I navigate similar terms?
include all but specify with each ("velaurian flag" instead of "alt flag")
separate posts for each, duplicate flags if they are both
separate posts for each, don't duplicate (?)
only some should be removed from the post (velaurian but not lesgay/similar?)
smth else (pls comment and/or reblog)
