this pride month, I'd like to thank intersex people, multigender people, nonbinary people, trans men, transmasculine people, a-spec people, those with 'contradictory' labels, and xenics for existing.

with all the bs discourse we have to deal with that often demonizes, erases, and belittles us, my hope is that everyone who belongs to these groups has at least one good experience this June.

I am so tired of the idea that you need other people's consent to literally just exist in their presence, or to exist at all if you have a 'contradictory' queer identity. I'm sick of the idea that someone with a "normal" label is more qualified than you are to determine whether or not you belong.

If someone is not pushing boundaries, hurting people, saying insensitive shit, being offensive, etc, you have literally no right to exclude them from that space. And if they are doing those things? You exclude them for the harm they cause as an individual, not because they used the wrong words to explain how they feel about their gender/orientation.

If you see someone with a "confusing" identity, you assume good intentions until proven otherwise. It's better to show initial undeserved kindness to a cishet troll/chaser than vitriolic hostility towards an actual queer person looking for community.

If you are "uncomfortable" just because you don't agree with a person's labels/identity, you can kindly fuck off and hang out with the cishets who make a face when they see a visibly trans person in public.

I hate it when people hear "gender non-conforming" and think that just applies to like. Crossdressing.

Like no bitch I mean lesboys. Amab trans men. Afab trans women. Fagdykes. Gay women. Women with he/him pronouns and men with she/her pronouns. Any intersex person ever. Agender people. Multigender people. Genderfluid people. I can't remember what they're called rn but them newfangled genders with the unique flags. Demigirls and demiboys. Hell, bisexual lesbians and bisexual gays.
