Fuck yes! I just figured out a use for a character that I’ve loved for years, but never fit in anywhere.
Also I’m not longer working on the Flagship project. Now I’m thinking about angels and other cosmic horrors.

Ok, fine, I found a random date generator. Not the complete main cast, but I think of these people a lot.
Went to edit that short story I mentioned a couple of days ago. Ended up basically starting to rewrite it. It's much better, but I didn't get to the end.
It's probably better not to push myself if I don't want to write anymore today/right now.
Wrote 1.2K-ish words though! So that's good!
So for the first time in forever I actually wrote something.
Like actually a thing. And by a thing I mean a short story. Turns out I'm much better with writing if I can't actually see what I'm writing. I'll edit it and add stuff to it tomorrow but right now I have like 1.5K-ish words and I'm pretty proud of myself.
Hopefully I don't ruin it with editing.
I'll probably (maybe, hopefully) post it once I'm marginally happy with it.
"What about you? What do you think of the change in management?" "It makes no difference that we've exchanged the pot for the kettle; the water is still coming to boil."
Ok, I promised to write up an introduction to the projects I'm working on. And then I forgot to do that. So here it is now.
Flagship Project
"Flagship" is my main project. I plan on this being a book/series. This isn't the official name of the project and it'll have a proper name eventually but my plans are so scattered that...well. It's mostly about the magical elite in a world that is both fairly similar to ours as well as dissimilar.
The main characters are almost exclusively MOGAI , nonhuman, and members of the magical elite I mentioned, though, again, that's not always the case. Within the context of the world mages are very rare but they all sort of group together. My next original post will probably be discussing how magic works in this world since it affects much of the plot and other world building stuff.
The plot is being reworked. I had a baseline for a plot that I began working on but then I redesigned most of the characters and kind of had to start over. The plot that I had can and will still work but I'm going to take a second look at it and revise what I've already written.
HTBC Project
"Here There Be Correspondence" or HTBC for short began in response to a friend who seriously wanted me to write a comic. This is about four minor elemental dragons who are writing letters to each other about their lives. A pretty laid back idea that's more slice of life at the moment than plot based. Which is good because I don't have one.
There's actually humans in this one. I basically decided that getting paper and writing utensils the appropriate size for dragons (these are pretty big dragons despite not being strong among dragons) would be too difficult to procure. So all four have some human friend(s) to write and read their letters.
That's really all there is to it. I'm still in the character design phase of this. But I really like this too. It's a hard fantasy setting and it's pretty fun to completely ignore the rules of modern society.
I have lots of other little wisps of ideas but here are the two main projects that I'm trying to focus on. The other stuff needs so much work that it's better to just not list them (as I discovered while typing this up). Followers will probably see stuff for the side projects occasionally but that's not really saying much.
I want to write up a post about magic in Flagship soon-ish. So expect that soon-ish. Have a good one.
"And how do you get to be immortal?" "Not dying is the first step. And then you pretty much just do that forever."
Me, writing A+ exposition
Ok, so one of the points of this blog was for me to have a space for my writing and art. So maybe I should actually talk about my project(s).
I say project(s) because I have dozens of ideas for worlds and characters but very little drive to actually make these ideas whole or a reality. I understand why I have this problem and hopefully the drive that this blog gives me will prompt me to keep moving forward.
Anyway, I have a lot of projects and stuff but one big project has more or less always been at the forefront of these. This project occasionally had a name but I've been working on it and changing it so much, over several years, that those names have fallen away. For now I just refer to it as my "Flagship Project."
This name has nothing to do with the actual stuff that happens in it, Flagship is just the main project that I try to focus on. Someday it'll have a proper name and everything but for now, it doesn't.
I'll write up a brief overview of Flagship and possibly my other projects by tomorrow.
