alright y’know what I’m gonna have to be the one to say it but. y’all always talking about harmonisation headcanons and all this other mumbo jumbo but y’know what??? idk what the fuck any of that means what the fuck are you guys talking about lol

I think one of the biggest problems with harmonisation, by the looks of it, is it’s like a “fate” thing. it’s predetermined; you’re bonded whether you like it or not. and it seems a lot of people don’t fucking like that lol to no surprise, I don’t either. it’s also mostly used in a romantic or sexual setting (again, for ships etc etc) and all that kinda junk. and if someone dies or smth or other happens, you can’t heal from it, no matter what. you can’t fix your “set” anymore. which again is..... not nice. it’s a very forceful kind of headcanon, there’s no real freedom or choice in it for almost any character involved (and canon highly does not support the theories anyway?). but the main “goal” essentially is the Sky needs a “set” of at least 1 of every flame, or they won’t feel “complete” and it could even border on physically painful. once bonded, that’s it. you’re theirs. so the Guardians (I use this term loosely here) only have the Sky. the Guardian-Guardian aspect apparently is not spoken about much, so the main point is really just the Sky. so, essentially, whatever Tsuna ships people were writing for lol. and if said flame (soulmate or whatever) is away from him (of whom can empathetically interact with them) it also becomes painful, borders on unbearable. if said person was to die, well.... I think that’s about the main gist of the bigger picture

so honestly.... where on earth this all stemmed from is fucking beyond me lol

oh I promise I’m trying to understand the harmonisation headcanons but it all just feels very.... codependent and not healthy to me. also the “one flame to each sky” is weird bc Tsuna already breaks That rule by having 2 Mists and Xanxus does too by having No Clouds, and the Arcobaleno get messed up bc there’s not only 2 Rains, but 1 of them was messed up and became 1/2 a Rain, 1/2 a Mist and so there’s that mess and also their Sky keeps Dying so it’s like What Now?? so that part doesn’t make sense to me either

also the “physical pain when away” huh???? why??? what does that even mean??? also also just... harmonisation obviously isn’t a “I choose you” kind of thing on the Sky’s behalf, bc Tsuna didn’t choose his Guardians. they were all thrown at him. every single one of them. at least half of them started out violent with him. so I??? and the Arcobaleno was by pure circumstance except for the fact that Lal and Colonello knew each other. and Obviously Sky’s don’t NEED Guardians bc Dino??? has literally not a single fucking flame used in sight. not one. ?????????

Oh, Harmonization is a whole mess in the KHR! fanfic world. It just became such a huge thing out of nowhere.

It's like in the Danny Phantom fandom where there's a whole accepted thing of ghosts having obsessions and being controled by them and it's chaotic as all hell.

But there are a few cool takes into the harmonization concept, although they are rare. Less Fate and Soulmates and Bonded for the rest of your lifes with no autonomy whatsoever, and more like people choosing to do it voluntary for the sake of being closer (or power, bc mafia)

But yeah, there's a lot of weird shit in there also.

D-Did you know some people make it like an ABO thing also? (I'm talking about harmonized skies entering in heat and having affairs with all their guardians. Fucking wild, I know. Please research carefully, that stuff can be traumatizing)

okay hang on apparently there’s some version of harmonisation out there (it’s essentially one big headcanon, then different sub-genres of it depending on who writes what) that once a Sky is harmonised with a flame they can, get this, telepathically sync and talk to the Guardian, feel how they feel, tell where they are???? idk about YOU but I’d tell my Sky to fuck off actually

I was RIGHT I WAS RIGHT SO FLAMES ARE MORE PHYSICAL. so basically they’re more of like, a fancy high-density form of energy refined from ones life force, give or take from the wiki ignore me paraphrasing shit lol, where it seems fans sat there and thought “well fuck what if we made it about the SOUL” to be like. intimate or smth.

so in turn we’ve somehow made it into this, like, really deep soul thing that requires you to Bond with your Sky on such an intimate level that there’s nothing else between you. just. idk, souls??? I sound like an idiot but anyway when really flames are used literally mostly for the physical aspects; they’re essentially battle auras, not soul and life ones. so to bond over flames for soul reasons sounds.... confusing, when you consider what the hell the flames actually are
