               What ramble she was on ceased instantly before an almost Sebastian-like eye contact was made. "You wanna try that again?" His two words brought her right back down, freeing her from the elevated panic that had its claws deep within metaphorical flesh. "When's it gonna be my turn?" Voice wasn't raised by Blaez's standards, but it was undeniably squeaky. "When am I gonna be the one who gets to drop bombs on you and give you no chance to process?"

as  is  often  the  case  when  her  father  is  involved,  cora's  immediate  instinct  is  to  let  out  an  annoyed  growl.  she's  beginning  to  get  used  to  him  being  around  again  .  .  .  but  that  doesn't  magically  cure  the  years  of  resentment  and  anger.  she  wants  to  wrap  her  hands  around  his   throat  and  squeeze  on  a  pretty  regular  basis,  however,  she  knows  that  he  has  a  skill  set  she  can  benefit  from  .  .  .  he  can  teach  her  things  she  needs  to  know,  even  if  she  refuses  to  admit  that  to  him  (  or  to  anyone,  or  even  to  herself  ).

she  lets  out  a  huff  and  crosses  her  arms  over  her  chest,  and  she  almost  wants  to  storm  off  and  figure  it  out  on  her  own.  but  as  much  as  it  pains  her  to  admit?  cora  needs  deucalion  in  this  specific  instance.  ❝  i'm  not  completely  out  of  my  element.  ❞  cora  reacts  almost  instantly,  as  is  often  the  case  when  it  comes  to  deucalion  .  .  .  but  she  knows,  as  much  as  it  pains  her,  that  she  has  to  play  nice  in  order  to  get  the  help  she  needs.  ❝  but  if  you  happen  to  have  advice  .  .  .  maybe  i'll  give  it  a  shot.  ❞

he   was   dangerous.   but,   only   when   he   was   at   full   strength   and   only   to   his   enemies.   he   had   been   grateful   for   the   sanctuary   provided   to   him   by   the   son   of   talia   hale.   and   he   kept   to   the   rules   set   on   him.   why   would   he   not   follow   them   ?   in   his   state   even   a   pup   could   break   him.   while   weak,   his   sense   of   smell   was   not   damaged   and   he   knew   he   wasn’t   alone   as   he   laid,   recumbent   in   the   sofa   and   tried   to   focus   on   his   body   and   forcing   the   toxicity   out.   slowly,   he   raised   up   to   sit   and   glance   in   the   direction   of   the   …   other   that   was   there.   a   familiar   scent   yet   he   could   not   place   it.   “   i   don’t   bite,   sha.   ya   can   come   out,   i   know   ya’there.   "
