The joys of playing Assassin’s Creed:
“Kadar. Kadar, are you coming? Are you just gonna stand by that dead body? Yes? Okay then. If you just want to do the assassin thing, we’re gonna be right over here...”
“Well done Kadar, you moved away from the dead body! Now come on, jump over the pit. Onto the beams. Yes. Yes. No. No, Kadar. Kadar what are you doing. Why are you turning around Kadar nO.”
“MALIK. MALIK. KADAR FELL IN THE FUCKING PIT. MALI- Oh no wait he’s fine. He climbed back up. We’re good lets keep doing.”
“Kadar. Kadar no. That’s not how you assassin. Kadar please stop walking into walls. Malik I am worried about your brother.”
My favourite thing about HOME so far is that before the end boss in the room where you can buy stuff from Zacharie if you go down to the bottom left corner and keep going you can actually walk off the map and die, and Zacharie will essentially tell you, "You weren't supposed to do that but it's chill I can restart the game for you; just try to remember not to do that again next time." And then the game will reset. Just that sense of "Oh hey I found something! How awesome - oh no all I found was death. Also hey Zacharie thanks for the hand I did not know you could do that you sly old Merchant you."
I could cry I spent about an hour trying to figure out how to move on to the Military Base and just as I’m about to quit in fury I see you can use the pedalo to get somewhere
I spent at least ten minutes alone on that pedalo and I didn’t see it at all
I am so angry and distressed
There should just be a big sign that says “GO HERE IDIOT”
So I’m playing HOME and I’m in Zone 2 and I have no idea what to do for the Library puzzle. So I think “oh dude that’s fine I’ll just talk to Zacharie he can tell me what to do!”
But apparently that was wrong because as soon as I walked up to him I died and got a message that said “Stay dead. Quick hacking” and then a game over screen.
So not only can I not complete the puzzle but now I am denied the glorious banter Zacharie provides.
Why has god forsaken me like this.
So I'm playing The Legend of Zelda: Twilit Princess on the Wii. It's the first Zelda game I've ever played, but I've watched enough PBG and Game Theory to have a rough idea of the series as a whole.
So I find it kinda cool that a goron's just said "I heard this town was also attacked by beasts, and that it had met with a terrible fate..."
"I mean, Qunari probably have weird horn gods, but you'll keep quiet while leading the Inquisition, right?"
What the actual fuck, Sera.
His past is hidden throughout the entire game. You don't think he's telling the truth. You don't quite believe the things he says, though they seem to hold some reality to them; something is always off. So when his companion quest arrives in the form of a letter stuck to a wooden griffon and an informant, you are excited. You get to learn his past. You finally, finally get to learn who he is.
His name is Tom.
Your disappointment cannot be put into words.
