--He knows that presence better than anyone else, that broad back turned to him that exudes the most powerful of auras slathered in dispatched solitude..
"Father..?"
Seeing the other Knight, it was a good feeling in Naoki's gut. They could preform their duty together, though the red head knew of the other's wish to do his actions alone, much like his former self.
Keeping quiet, he nodded toward the brunette, and kept his stance calm. What more was there to do? Eyes shifted over Kai's form, and envy showed it head. Just a tad though.
As he knew not every detail between Aichi and Kai, it still pained him slowly to know that they were close. And he had none of that closeness. He thought he did, but he was always outside, standing away from it all.
Heart of Steel
A quick shopping trip to stock up on something that might manage a couple of dinners; that had been the plan when Aichi ventured out of the apartment, slugging a backpack over one shoulder and trekking out of the complex. Over the course of his stay in the private residence, he'd learned the area around Kai's home well, so a brief trip out would do no harm, more so given the Quatre Knights had now proven they had effectively been on the same side as everyone all along.
There was a corner-shop close to Card Capital that Aichi was eager to visit, and it would excuse stopping by to find out if there had been any updates on upcoming releases that might help.
Though when he'd been strolling along the street, he found himself doubling taking at the sight of a familiar face.
Not wearing his school uniform? But hadn't he left for class during the morning?
A curious sight; Kai in such an elaborate wardrobe, bearing a grand cross upon his back.
Though word had spread about colliding timelines; Legion-kun and Seeker-kun both from the future, the image of Gaillard forged from the former's willpower, the replica of Dark-kun created by the General. There were already so many different existences meeting with one another.
Maybe this Kai bore a similar reality that came with his presence in the city. He certainly wasn't any of those Aichi had come into contact with. So it was a cautious approach, though he was eager to learn of this one's story.
"Kai-kun?"
Inferno
Peace was by no means comfort after the recent confrontation. Though it offered that solitary rest he'd been seeking since Aichi's struggling escalated.
Relaxed in that cold, merciless throne, his eyes opened only to gaze at the Earth and then creep around to the presence looming closer. No sign of surprise that someone might enter into the isolated chamber again so soon. Nor did the identity of the arrival surprise him by any means.
They were allies, bound by a promise.
"You must have sense the commotion, am I right?
You needn't worry yourself, fate is proceeding without a hitch. I cannot ask more of you... Kai-kun".
