               HE’S FLAT ON HIS STOMACH,     clothes now dirtied and hair an absolute mess from where he’d seemingly tripped over nothing     (   there was definitely a branch there, thank you very much   —-    !!   )     and he has to crane his head back in order to see the woman perched from a branch.     upside-down.     goddamned show off.     ‘   sensei, don’t be mean.   ’     he’s been hard at work for hours, now, training in any area he can think of, wanting     —-     no, needing to become stronger.     kaito has a lot of preparations to make before eventually enrolling in the chunin exams, and he wants everything to be perfect for the moment that he does.
