“Young Todoroki!” And in through the hospital door burst one very large, very loud, very smiley hero. All Might couldn’t take the incident off his mind after Gran Torino’s call, and he wanted to come check on the students himself after work.

It seemed only one was currently in the room-- from what he’d heard, young Iida was getting another checkup and Young Midoriya was making a call. No matter, he can catch the other two later. The pro hero set down a large basket by young Todoroki’s bedside, its contents filled to the brim with fresh fruit and topped with a gaudy, glittery bow ( red and white and blue, of course. )

“I hope your recovery is going well!”

        The young girl strolled into the library with a purpose. She went straight to the technology and science section, looking for a copy of “Overall Equipment Effectiveness.” Finding what she needed, she sighed in relief. She completely forgot about her assignment that was due tomorrow. She sat at one of the large tables and set to work. There won’t be as many distractions here, she thought. If she were in the Development Studio, she’d never get this essay done. ( And she doubts her teacher will let her hand in something late again. ) 

        But of course, nothing ever goes according to plan. She spotted another student sitting across from her, but couldn’t quite tell what he was reading. She leaned over the table, looking at the text closely.

        She looked up at him curiously, “What are you working on?” she asked in a loud whisper. This essay may take longer than she originally thought.

“I learned some valuable lessons under Uwabami-san, but to tell you the truth, I’m quite ready to return to our normal class sch-”

Their idle chatter was brought to a halt with the sudden stop of the elevator, the lights shutting off and leaving the containment chamber dark. Momo momentarily lurched with ceasing of momentum, though caught herself on the railing before balance could be lost completely, and looked up to where the lights should’ve been. 

A moment later, the hum of the emergency power kicked in, bathing the pair in dim red light— a poor choice in color, she couldn’t help but comment, if their intention was to keep anyone potentially trapped in the elevator calm— though no movement followed. She reached forward to press any of the buttons on the panel in front of her, but to no avail.

“Well. That’s unfortunate.”
