#mostly cos i never trusted tv/film adaptations and everything i've seen just makes me concerned#a character i interpreted as sort of being a very dry ironic sort of dark humor is turned into a very flambouyantly obnoxious and not in the#fun way#flanderization basically#also characters with substance abuse issues get mishandled a lot and things just come off sloppy#angst angst angst#i'll watch it when i get the time like i say#its just i've read those books like 20 times
