I miss when doing digital art was fun, but I‘ve been in such a funk art-wise that I can’t bring myself to sit down at my laptop to try to draw. I hate it because I have all these ideas, but can’t even sketch them, much less digitalize them.
Would you guys at least be interested in what I’ve been able to sketch? Maybe some validation could get my art motivation going again.
This is gonna sound weird, but I only ship Obi-Wan with the fanon version of Satine. Canon Satine just... rubs me the wrong way for a lot of reasons. Fanon Satine (at least how most people portray her) is so much less abrasive for some reason.
Probably because fanon Satine is actually nice to Obi-Wan for longer than .2 seconds and doesn’t get completely pissed at him for just trying to protect her. Idk, canon Satine just annoys me because she’s rude to Obi-Wan in front of a bunch of people on more than one occasion, not to mention the implied genocide with the exile of any Mandalorian who refused to comply with her rules. Idk, I could type up a really long rant about her but I don’t have the energy tonight. In short, I ship Obitine only when it’s fanon Satine, and I don’t like canon Satine as a person or as a leader (she’s a well-written character for how little screen time she gets).
Like, yeah, Obi-Wan does end up insulting her too, but that’s after Satine insults him repeatedly and you can tell he’s just done dealing with it politely. Doesn’t make it okay, but at least he didn’t immediately resort to insults.
Disney really needs to keep their hands off the Clone Wars episodes that were pretty much entirely written out and finished aside from animation. Just. Stop. Messing. With. The. Story.
Well, I’m not making it to work, but now my coworker who already doesn’t like me is mad because I called out. Like, sorry I don’t live within walking distance like you do, but I’d like to not get stuck or go off the road trying to get to work today. It’s a literal blizzard, and I live three towns away on a poorly maintained, hilly road. I literally cannot safely get off my road today.
I miss when I had time to draw. I miss when I had motivation to write. I miss when I ENJOYED my free time instead of instantly spiraling into anxiety. I’ve drawn and written practically nothing in over a year, and I want to cry because I miss doing it but I can’t make myself do it because I either don’t have enough time or I don’t have the motivation or I can’t focus when I do try to do it.
I miss not being an adult with all this stress. I want to go back.
TikTok changed their algorithim and screwed every small creator over by adding their “pay for more views” feature. I have over 1000 followers on there and struggle to hit 130 views on every video I post lately, which is INCREDIBLY discouraging. I don’t even have the motivation to keep making videos because people don’t even SEE my stuff. I don’t care so much about the like/views ratio, I’d just like people to SEE my stuff, and no one does. I hate it so much because it used to be fun to post there, and now it’s just depressing.
One thing I’ve noticed lately while browsing clone art is that while the Clone Wars fandom is relatively chill (in relation to the Star Wars fandom as a whole), while the Bad Batch fandom is a fricking dumpster fire of drama. Like, dang, I‘m just here for the clones, and there’s drama all over the place.
I‘m really glad I haven’t exactly voiced any specific opinions about TBB other than I like it because w o w, I do not have the time nor mental health to deal with drama.
