Ain’t nobody fresher than my motherfuckin’ clique
Today, in Flashpoint Adventures!
Cademinu. We're all fairly low level for it, but it's still do-able. Guardian tank, Commando healer, and myself (Vanguard) and another Commando as DPS.
Healer!Commando claims he doesn't have a CC (..Concussive Round, anyone?). DPS!Commando refuses to use it because it generates aggro.
Needless to say, in the fight toward the beginning where we're dealing with two champions, three strongs, and a few normals, we wiped. Hard.
(It didn't help that the DPS!Commando, so horribly worried about generating aggro, jumped into that fight before the tank was even in range.)
And on tonight's Flashpoint Adventures...
At-level Cademimu. Just before the first boss, the tank has to jet. We re-queue and decide to try without a tank, using my Bowdaar. I was a little wary of this, since one of the DPS had never done it, and wasn't following the "don't use AOE attacks near CC'd target" instructions.
...But we ended up three-manning the rest of it, including the final boss, without ever wiping. Newbie guy ended up taking directions well, aside from that AOE thing, and we breezed through it.
I feel pretty badass after that. Mad heals, yeah!
Today, on Flashpoint Adventures...
Level 20-something Jedi Sentinel.
Level 1 gear.
One lightsaber.
Running KDY.
I asked, at the beginning, if they were doing some sort of gear challenge because while that was annoying for us having to heal her, it would make sense and the group could adjust accordingly.
No answer.
Annoying, but whatever.
She then proceeded to run the opposite direction of the rest of the group, pulling mobs across the map.
A vote to kick was definitely initiated.
There are a few things guaranteed to make me leave a flashpoint, when playing a healer.
And one of them can be when a DPS takes it upon themselves to play tank. That in itself isn't enough to make me quit, but when you add in running ahead of the group without giving me a chance to replenish my energy/force, because I spent the entire last pull healing you AND the tank, then fuck that.
Especially after I politely ask for a few seconds between pulls.
