Jonathan Dickinson field trip part 3: flat woods ecosystem This is the last place we visited and due to time constraints we weren't here very long. We saw more antlion traps and slash pines. An interesting fact about this system is that for certain parts of the year it has more water. Some areas had water but it wasn't as filled as usual. There were ferns growing in a lot of these areas indicating that water was definitely here.
