I wrote this originally to submit to imaginefeawakening to become a female mod except I’m pretty sure they’re not accepting anymore entries so oooooops. Anyways, have some Flavia fluff and have a good day/night you lovely followers!
After an intense day of training, paperwork, and strategizing, you barely even notice your wife slip into your room while you're lying face down on your bed.
"For a man of your caliber, I expected you to handle much more than this!" Flavia laughed as she plopped down beside you, "Chin up, Robin!"
You feel her hand ruffle your hair and the only response you could croak out is a pathetic mumble of incoherent words. Although you couldn't deny how much you craved her attention, as being a ruling Khan required her to be busy the entire day, the exhaustion of war was finally catching up to you.
"You're almost as lazy as the oaf, get up!" She commands, switching from her normal voice to her "Khan voice" and you shoot up immediately. Out of fear or out of willpower, you'll never know.
"Yes, ma'am!" You jokingly salute, even going so far as to raising your hand to your forehead.
You see a smile spread across Flavia's face and you can feel most of your fatigue drain through your fingertips. Yet, you can barely drink up the sight of your beautiful wife before her smile turns into a grimace.
"You look like hell." She puts bluntly.
You sigh and fall on the bed beside her, "I feel like it too."
"This won't do," she exclaims, and immediately gets up and starts pacing the room before you could even try to wrap your arms around her. "You have to rest, Robin. I'll get someone to take over your duties for a while, and I can have someone take over your paperwork while we're still in Ferox..." She grabs a piece of paper and rips the quill off of your desk, vigorously scribbling something that you know is going to be illegible.
"Flavia, I don't think tha-"
"My army can collect the finest ale in the land..."
"Flavia, my love, pleas-"
"No no, gold suits you WAY better than silver-"
"Flavia!"
"What! I'm busy!"
You push yourself off the bed and shush your wife with a hug, making sure to smack the quill out of her hand in case she starts writing again.
"I appreciate it, but all I need is you..." you mumble, and promptly start blushing from how cheesy your words sound. Before you could even try to save yourself, Flavia pushed away and her booming laughter rang in your ears.
"I thought I married a man! You sound like a teenaged boy!" She cries out between her tears of mirth. Eventually, her laughs fade into meek chuckles and she places her hand on your shoulder, looking at you dead in the eyes. "You must be tired if you're sounding like that."
You start laughing yourself and wipe some stray tears from Flavia's face. "I'll feel better in the morning, so don't worry about me. Let's just relax for tonight, alright?" Flavia nods and you drag her onto the bed, your back resting against the headboard while your wife drapes herself against your body. You untie her ponytail and run your hands through her hair, smoothing out all her knots until you slowly drift off to sleep.
