    MARA’s head was titled on one side, arms crossed on her chest. she was bored and did not bother to hide it. She was not fond of parties ( never had been ) and the only reason she had accepted to show herself here was because her best friend had insisted. there were many people she did not know, starting with the one who was holding a cigarette. 

 Curiosity sparked in her eyes as her gaze wandered over him. She leaned against a wall, not mouthing another world. She took a sip of the goblet she was holding.

Times have changed

To say reeling in both dogs and boys was easy would be a lie. Lena had one hand fisted in her excitable pooches collar and the other held up in supplication as she shouted over the boys. "Let me answer it! Go to your rooms!" As she continued to argue and need the-now rather large dog - out of the way she laughed and pulled open the door. "You're early." Dark hair fell over her shoulder and into her eyes as she saw her friends face and she grinned impossibly before letting loose the dog to tackle him.

"You need to eat something, you've been through a lot today."

“I’m not hungry.” It was true, she had been through a lot at that point. But eating wasn’t going to bring her boy back. It wasn’t going to stop him from leaving and making fatal decisions. It wasn’t going to keep him in the family.

“You go on ahead, there’s sandwich stuff in the fridge.”

Lena looked at the note ruefully and shook her head, trying not to smile. Oh, if only he knew how little she actually liked this day. She would probably never tell him though, and let him think the only reason it was bad was because he couldn’t show.

She felt an odd pang as she continued to reread it and realized that she actually did miss this obnoxious little boy. But there was nothing to do about it, and so she simply tucked the note safely away in her pack and continued on her way.

Rescue missions, those were things that were usually only seen or movies, or seen accomplished by heroes. Her brother Percy, was a hero, so was his girlfriend Annabeth, so was Grover. Kenna on the other hand, was not. In fact it could be easily said that she was far from a hero, but her she was on this hero type mission and cursing her life. How did it end up like this you ask? Honestly she has no idea and she can’t tell you. It was usually satyrs who had this job, was assigned a demigod and brought them to camp, but there must have been some lack of communication if Kenna was assigned this job. 

Shoving her hands into hr pockets, she let out a long sigh and ran a hand through her hair. ‘This is ridiculous.” She muttered under her breath as he feet sloshed through the wet streets and her hair clung to the side of her face. “Should have brought an umbrella.” She grumbled to herself as she rounded the corner and made her way up a pair of steps. Her bluish grey eyes raked the neighborhood before she checked to see if she was in the right place. She was. 

With another heavy sigh, she turned to face the door once more and gave a good solid knock, practicing what she was going to say in her head.

Lenas cheeks burned and she crossed her arms over her chest stubburnly. “Maybe.” She had just crawled out of bed and, not wanting to be in a tank top and boy shorts, grabbed the first shirt she saw. Apparently it had been Noahs.
