Armed only with a pistol, it was impossible to get a lock on Liquid’s head from this distance; and, where shooting someone else in the leg or chest would have been a perfectly viable means of staggering them and eventually putting them down, it was unlikely to do him much good here. 3:Best game you've ever played?

Ahh It’s hard but I guess the best game for me was The Adventures of Batman & Robin On the SEGA Genesis. Terrific fast paced gameplay, amazing music, and colorful graphics that reflected the show at the time it was a true batman game in my eyes.

8:Best soundtrack?

Now this one unfortunately confuses me since some games use licensed music while using their own original music, but if I had to pick it would probably be Star Wars: Bounty Hunter. 

12:Shortest time you've beaten a game in?

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. (Kidding kidding!) I would say Skullgirls ahaha~

my opinion on;

character in general: CanI start by going to a rooftop and screaming at the top of my lungs how much I adore Liquid? ‘Cause I adore him. Hiswhole story is downright painful and Liquid can only be describe as ‘failure bydefault’. He fights so hard against whathe is that he forgets about who heis. Liquid is that character that you can see the pain overflowing—I’ve alwayshad a soft spot for him and his theatricals. He’s doing his best, he’s fightingnature to be someone—not a phantom, not his genes. When Eli was announced inTPP I was gripping the edges of my seats, LORD, it feels so good to see that hefights, even as a child, that he isstrong. Eli is a force of nature and can’t be stopped, he isn’t afraid ofanything, he’s just…A ball of anger and confusion, a product of his creation aproduct of his burdens. He’s a fierce warrior and I admire his stubbornness andstrength to never break down….Except for Mission 51, I legit cried with Mission51. Seeing Eli trying to give up, letting go of all of his hopes, being humaninstead of a simple clone tore myheart in two. I’m glad that Mantis stopped him, that it was just a hiccup onhis confident self—his last line shows it all, it’s never over for him and youcan see that it’s a trait that sticks to him until his dying moment. He willfight back, he’ll be the one with the last laugh until death comes.

how they play them: Youmake a marvelous job at making him fragile and human, you turn Liquid into arelatable character, you make his flaws noticeable—in your hands we see Eli,the person behind the Liquid mask. I love reading your threads with @ciircumserpent, I love the brotherly dynamic and I love how you make it work. Ilove your headcanons, and I’ll say it once more: I love seeing the human sideof Liquid, something that he keeps veiled. That being said, don’t be afraid tothread into Liquid’s dark spots, don’t be afraid of making him the ‘villain’,explore his anger and the force of nature that your character has.

Opinion on;

Character in general: I actually really like Liquid Snake; he’s one of my preferred characters in the series and definitely my favorite villain. I actually find that I care less for him in MGSV than I do in MGS1. Young Liquid doesn’t do something for me that older Liquid did, I suppose, and I’ve never been big on sympathy backgrounds. I feel like I would probably like him more if they hadn’t cut Kingdom of the Flies, because there you can really see the beginnings of Liquid’s histrionic personality, how belligerent and controlling he is, where his sense of entitlement comes from, and how his admittedly impressive leadership skills blossomed out of the leash that he held other children on. Liquid has no equals; everybody is above him or below him, and Mission 51 was the starting point. In the incomplete cutscenes, you can see the parallels between the island and Shadow Moses. The fact that they took it out makes it an incomplete arc. Instead, you’re awkwardly left with Eli riding off into the sunset, and then the game just... ends, and all you have of Liquid’s character is a problematic tantrum-throwing child who’s skilled in combat and has some control over his fellow children, the nature of which isn’t fully explored. Perspective is based on where you begin and end a story. By leaving out Kingdom of the Flies, we are left with a very different idea of who Liquid was. We’re lucky that they put the information in the Blu-Ray disc so that we have an idea of what apparently happened in canon, but it’s not the same. I will, however, say that I really enjoyed the parallels with Eli and Venom vs. Snake and Big Boss, and the fact that we learn that Liquid never actually knew the real Big Boss. You have the main games with the main characters, and then you have V and the other side of the coin. I don’t think that Eli ever learned the truth about Venom based on his dialogue in MGS1, but the fact that he calls himself Snake’s shadow becomes something of a callback ( or call forward because this series has formed a damn ouroboros !!! ) to Venom being Big Boss’s phantom. There’s a level of unreality to it, this idea that you should be someone but you’re not, and I would have loved to see Eli’s reaction to finding out that Venom was not in fact Big Boss. That Liquid carries this resentment towards Snake for years is all the more significant for the way that these two now line up: it’s not that ‘Big Boss’ instilled this sense of not being good enough in him, it’s that the man who was supposed to be Big Boss somehow convinced him that he was lesser than his twin, who also struggles with his identity compared to the actual Big Boss, because this family has formed a trauma conga line that never ends.How they play them: Your writing itself is very good. However, there’s some hesitance to bring out his nastier qualities without making an excuse or trying to justify them. There is a difference between explaining a character’s actions and excusing them. I’ve played many an antagonist before and I understand how easy it is to jump to their defense, but if you’re lacking that objective element, it’s also easy to lose a huge portion of the character very rapidly. It can be difficult to accept and represent flaws or outright meanness in a character that is important to you, but if you don’t, they’re not wholly that character. My advice to you ( and of course this is take it or leave it; you choose how you write your character and are in no way obligated to listen to me! ) would be to try not to shrink from admitting that Liquid can be wrong ( not just in ways that frame him sympathetically, such as losing the FOXHOUND unit ), that Liquid can be weak, that Liquid can be vengeful unjustifiably or not, that Liquid can do some seriously fucked up shit outside of the context of his trauma because there came a point where he was an adult with autonomy who made some very bad decisions with full understanding that he was in a moral black area. Condemning your favorite for the things they should be condemned for does not make them a lesser character because a good character is not an amalgamation of well-meant deeds, mistakes, and victimhood, but one who is well-thought-out and realistic. That being said, the threads that we have are extremely fulfilling. You think of some marvelous AUs and, again, your writing is wonderful. I like the way that you craft interactions between multiple characters; your writing is at its best when Eli is reflecting on his feelings for somebody else -- I always enjoy reading it, even if it’s not our thread, because it provides some excellent insight into who he is. Your objective analysis is also a pleasure to read and I think that you really do understand Liquid’s character. You have the whole of his canon mapped out and you apply it in your threads. Once more, my advice is just to let more of the negative traits show through, because I think it will deepen your characterization a lot. You have it because you have written about it and talked about it. You haven’t overlooked it at all. Just let it shine a bit more.The Mun: You seem like a good sort, my friend. You’re very sweet, and I enjoy talking to you, sharing things with you, etc.; I have a good time whenever we chat on Skype. You’re also very intelligent and I like reading your analysis when it crops up.

Opinion on; 

Character in general: MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM--yes. I’ve actually grown a bit of a soft spot for Liquid after finally getting through most of the canon games. He’s sassy as hell, but the fact he’s so different and outwardly compelled sparks my interest. I’m pretty excited to get through TPP because of Eli. ( will I ever actually play it? in like 20 years. >B( )

How they play them: I love reading the threads! Eli becomes somewhat relatable with words expressing his thoughts and actions--and the dead man walking verse is really interesting to me. I friggin’ enjoy it--nothing fancy, just good ol’ development.

The Mun: You’re precious and really easy to talk to when we do. In fact ,we should talk more anyway. B)
